Apparently his husband was jealous of his TV career. I think Rylan has charisma and a certain quality about him which you can't fake. Even if Rylan helped him get gigs on TV, he still could've flopped.

On another note, Alison's interview with Andy Murray was quite bad today. She also seemed to be struggling last week when she did the "Dosh on Your Doorstep" segment with the woman that has terminal cancer. She was acting quite awkward around the woman. Alison seems OK but she doesn't have much professionalism.

Also, why does Phil always open the bag of sweets during Spin it to Win It. It's not really funny. Holly looks more annoyed with him lately.

Hate the whole spin to win segment now tbh. The faces and dancing and how rude Phillip is if the caller doesn’t sound excited. He thinks everyone should be going out of their minds because they get to talk to him! Then he starts being rude and pulling faces and being really abrupt with them if they aren’t.

Wasn’t Dan a failed reality TV star? Must’ve been awkward considering how well Rylans career took off.

How did it take off so well? Wasn't Rylan a terrible singer on BGT or X-Factor, then got a presenting job out of it. I find it odd how these people get presenting jobs, yet those who study media at uni and want to work in the industry doing similar are pushed to the wayside. Not much opportunity given in the industry is there. Be nice to see new faces presenting on shows, but it's always the same old (literally) faces.

True it's not very fair but when it comes to TV surely personality and likeability have to play a huge part. Personally, I think Rylan has both of those though I know some people find him annoying. I also agree he's overexposed. I don't know why the media industry never learns not to ruin a good thing by plastering the same 'stars' all over the place so even when you really like someone at first, you end up sick of the sight of them.

Can’t stand Philip Schofield, Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond. Is there no new young faces that can present these shows?? Those 3 are either there way too long or just not up to the job.

I think that Vick Hope would do a good job, but she's gonna be the new co presenter on radio 1 apparently. There must be some up and coming presenters out there who have a sense of humour and can interview well. Josie and Allison come from big brother. Bit of an odd entry into television presenting.

Wouldn't it be great if they had "normal" people presenting either on a Friday or during half terms. It could be Ruth and John from Devon who is 45 and has 125 insta followers.
The next day it could be Eamon with 37 Becky from Brighton who has 300 followers.
It would show case a lot of fresh new faces as well as new life experiences to be shared.

Having an amateur like Hammond fluffing her way through the programme is bad enough, let alone a whole series of ever changing amateurs.

That's a terrible idea. I'm sure that presenting the show is a lot harder than it looks.

It's really not that difficult. I've done a spot of presenting over the years and as long as you can read, take directions, have good listening and people skills and think on your feet if it's live, then the jobs yours. It really is a basic job which a lot of people would love to do but the opportunity is never there because it's the same old faces.
