This Morning #4 Holly Gormless

I think Ben and Cat did well with the interview with Nuria’s parents today. They gave her mum time to speak without trying to finish her sentences or asking her new questions while she was composing herself and it was a much stronger and more understanding interview for those silences.

The never ending advert for Battersea power station and its shops was annoying though.

I agree. It came across as a very powerful interview.

Yes I was praying that Cat wouldn’t do her normal jumping in and interrupting like she has been doing and to her credit she didn’t and both her & Ben were wonderful letting the parents get their words out in their own time

I didn’t understand why there was this big lovein for Battersea Power Station. To be fair I didn’t know that there was a shopping mall in there and all the original workings and controls were still in there for people to visit but wasn’t sure why they kept going back and forth to it all episode. I missed the very beginning of the show so wasn’t sure if the shopping mall had just opened

I know one of Martin Lewis’ writers, and he said ML is really lovely and works extremely hard. Very fair and pays the team well, and really encourages a good work/life balance. He’s very driven by the need to help people. My friend said that it’s clear ML is on the spectrum, so if you don’t know him his communication can come across strangely at times (and he’s quite shy) - but that he is a genuinely good egg.

This is interesting. I always thought he was on the spectrum. I think he’s amazing at what he’s done for consumer finance.
