I’m feeling a bit disillusioned with TIM at the moment - all the swipe ups and affiliate links are really annoying. Even when someone asks where something is from in comments they’re pointed to stories and the affiliate link - whilst they are better at most at stating ad and aff link - it all feels a bit grabby.
They’re called This is Mothership but they aren’t talking about parenting anymore
I found them quite refreshing when I first started following but now they’re just a shopping channel and seem to have become quite greedy. They claimed to only work with brands they love and turn down loads of freebies but they must have about 50 tracksuits (or loungewear 
) virtually all gifted and working with M&S in today’s post and have found the best jeans ever - pretty sure they said that about FatFace jeans when they were being paid by them.
The thing that is really pissing me off though is them accepting free food. Their takeaways almost every weekend are gifted or PR sample and I think in today’s climate especially, it’s disgusting. They’re sat in their beautiful, large, £1M+ homes, surrounded by thousands of free items, with their husbands who clearly have well paid jobs, making money from gullible followers who aspire to their lifestyle yet they’re accepting free food
It’s greedy, it’s vulgar, it’s out of touch with reality and it doesn’t sit well with me at all.

Re. The jeans they definitely said the River Island mum jeans were the best fitting ever recently, agree they are very fake. Yes, the Becca concealer is the only thing they genuinely like and use.
Becoming fake and greedy just like all the other instahuns which is a shame as I found them a bit more relatable and down to earth at first but not now.

I think the thing that annoys me about them the most is when they ‘sign off for the weekend’ but we then have to view the entire weekend documented from both of them on Sunday night! So the phones haven’t been away at all and they’ve obviously done things for Instagram! It’s all just so cringe

I think they’re both very comfortably well off and that’s why the accepting of free food is just a step too far for me. They can quite obviously afford to buy their own takeaways every weekend so just do it and refuse the offer!
I guess all the freebies is something they’d get in their jobs as stylist and beauty editor but the ads with brands they don’t wear/use and all the affiliate links just show how greedy they’ve become.
And I agree, the weekend thing is really annoying. Either post throughout the weekend or just don’t bother - it’s all so fake and just paying lip service to striking a work/life balance or protecting their mental health or whatever tit reason they gave for switching off.
Think I’m close to unfollowing.....
And I’m surprised this thread isn’t busier tbh

There was a video posted by the VitaminDproject but it seems to have disappeared prob cos they threatened her with legal action. It was a real eye opener to their behaviour and was the reason I stopped following them.

I’ll try. There seems to be no mention of it now on vitd. I’m assuming due to legal action threat. In summary, Vitd had like a post about Wiley losing his record deal (due to anti Semitic/racist rant) and Gemma had DMd vitd asking why she had done this, they had never previously engaged, her messages were passive aggressive/bullying by nature, wouldn’t let it go. vit d was 41 weeks pregnant. TMI released copies of DMs, caused a pile on, Vitd Did a live with all the details, she was clearly upset, rightly so. There is lots about it on the beginning of this thread.

Then they got involved in that spat and although I don’t follow the other influencer it was clear quite quickly that they’d got the wrong end of the stick with her and instead of apologising and being gracious about it they were like a dog with a bone and I saw a completely different side to them then.
I am still surprised that there wasn’t a bigger fallout on here after that tbh.
I wonder if this thread will grow as more followers become fed up with them especially in the current climate we’re all in - think lots of people are re-evaluating their lives and what they consume on social media

Yep esp the free food when many are struggling to feed their families and keep them warm. It’s pretty disgusting tbh in the current climate
That’s what’s pissing me right off at the moment with them.
I get the free clothes and make up (to a degree) with their previous jobs/professions but to accept free takeaways and cakes and platter boxes or whatever while you sit in your £1m+ houses, with the heating on and in your designer, free pjs!!
