How did I not know there was a thread for this one!!!!! I did in and out (we had babies same time 🙄) traumatic birth? First I heard of it? My delivery was awful. Anyone know what ‘she went through’?

From what she's said she laboured in the birthing pool but didn't get to give birth in the pool which is what she wanted. That's it. Pretty sure it was in part because she was thrashing about like a mad woman so it probably wasn't safe for the baby to be delivered in there. Her rocking up with a dream board to have in front of her whilst she delivered didn't help her in the way she wanted.

I mean how are we surprised when this is how her mom makes her money…

Just that she didn't get her own way......that is giving birth, all plans go out the window. Once you have a healthy baby and mother afterwards it really doesn't matter. I nearly died after my first son. Was in hospital for 2 weeks after I had him. Pre eclampsia that then went into eclampsia after delivery. Now that is tramatic and I am sure there are many like me. Thankfully I lived and went on to have a 2nd son. 11 years later mind. I was terrified. They monitored me closely this time and the minute my blood pressure started to go high I was taking in and put on meds. So just not getting your birthing plan isn't tramatic.

I think she thought that hypnobirthing meant she’d just huff the baby out with minimal pain and it would be a gentle, fulfilling experience with the baby being born into the water and so on. But giving birth is brutal and agonising no matter what you do. I suspect she’s traumatised because it didn’t go the way she wanted to go and it hurt and she probably bled a lot as many women do.

She also refused to listen to anyone or research anything on how she’d feel after the birth and probably imagined her snuggled up all cosy with the baby and won’t have realised how utterly exhausted and washed out she’d feel and how much pain she’d still be in. If she’d actually looked into it then it wouldn’t have been as much of a shock.

Claiming in the comments she has PTSD. Really? From a birth she walked out of hospital from on the day she gave birth with a healthy baby and we’ve seen no evidence of her being diagnosed with? Is she for real?

I have huge doubts over therapists like that too. They're marketing themselves as trauma therapists so they probably ensure they give an uncorroborated diagnosis of PTSD to ensure they keep coming back.

What is the ott spinning whilst in front of the camera? Surely he’s having a hard bleeping job capturing anything with her pratting about like a giant toddler.

I imagine that photoshoot was a massive battle of the egos. Who can out loud the other.
I was looking at that and you can see when the pics are taken and the photographer is literally waiting until she stands somewhat still (er).

I went and looked at the comments on her latest grid post…
Holy heck. She never ever comes out and outright says what is wrong with her this week in posts. It’s all stuff buried in comments or on stories she doesn’t save.

Birth can be traumatic and she can have PTSD. But she was not honest or transparent about it. She kept talking about sharing what happened then she didn’t.

I work in an environment that comes with elevated risk of developing PTSD - it takes an awful lot of time to be diagnosed with it but yet again, Grottie had it done in a week and went straight to a specialist because of course she did. Regular people would have gone through a proper procedure and would only use this diagnosis if done properly. Not Grottie though. Just another label so people feel sorry for her
