I've never been to anything like that but isn't there actual rules when it comes to cosplayers that you MUST ask permission for photos an to record them? Because of the costumes? I think I've heard people mention at comic con that they take it quite serious with photographing an videoing the cosplayers

But then what respect do they have? If they are low enough to be scummy to steal other vloggers footage then they are gonna be low enough to be filming them all

as someone who’s been to conventions where people DO cosplay, which is quite often every con) (i.e. megacon & star wars celebration), it’s just simply common curiosity to ask permission first! no rules against it, everyone who’s been at least once knows to ask first. getting to interact with people who cosplay is also quite fun! i do believe comic con has some sort of thing with footage of those with cosplay because it’s heavily revolved around cosplay, but i’m not sure... i haven’t had the chance to attend yet as it’s always very expensive! hopefully one day in the future!
