Gonna say it again, Rosie is NINE! she doesn't need 'really cute' story books that a 4 year old would enjoy. How about a proper chapter book that could be read at night throughout December. What the ladybird heard is not what I'd expect a year 5, NINE YEAR OLD to be wanting. Maybe gracie could take them to her little brother instead.

I just came on to say the same thing. My kids loved Julia Donaldson books but when they were at nursery. Imagine poor Rosie going to school and excitedly telling her friends about the book her mum bought for her. The kids will be laughing at her.

She said that Rosie is really getting into reading now and it’s something they like to do together which is lovely but at this age children usually start doing more independent reading with more age appropriate books.
