Here we go with the "perfect parenting" reels. I don't disagree with anything she posts, but she clearly doesn't have a particularly head strong child, and also, she only has 1 😂
 
She has posted a link to an anti tattle petition. I’m not a fan of the hateful comments on tattle but I don’t see how taking it down would help - surely another website will just take it all on instead. It’s one of the reasons I would never put myself or my family in the public eye - I couldn’t beat it.

Not a chance would she be sharing the petition had she not been called smug on here 😆 she has a very tame thread.
 
I can see why some people would be against the site, but her attitude to it is a bit extreme. It’s all about how you use it (for all parties involved). If anything, it could be a good feedback platform for influencers.
 
Am i mean for thinking she's being unreasonable expecting others to rearrange stuff if their kids have a sniffle 🙈 what will she do when O starts school! Kids go to school with a sniffle. She will be around more germs than even and it will probably be worse for her if she's been exposed to such a clinical life so far.

I obviously know for O it's more than just an immune system sort of thing but she will have no immune system at all as well as having the extra vulnerability due to the cf.

I went to check her story to see if you were being unreasonable and I don’t think you’ve said anything wrong at all.

It’s a play centre for all kids, unfortunately there will always be children who have the sniffles at these kinds of places. I wouldn’t want Ottie to miss out on these interactions but Jess is going to need to learn very quickly that not everyone will be as accommodating.
 
Exactly what I thought when I saw that story! What the hell is she expecting parents to do in the midst of winter when all kinds of bugs are going round!?

The smugness and self-righteousness drives me insane.

O is clearly a very placid and amenable child. God help Jess if she had one like mine, head strong and strong willed who won’t listen to reason!

Sorry but she reminds me of a little robot. (An absolutely adorable one mind!). But she will get a shock if no 2 is more challenging, headstrong and resists tasks more, doesn’t sleep etc.
 
I think it’s nice for a play space to try and accommodate a child who has additional needs if it makes the parents feel safer.

What I’m more puzzled about is how she’s using the IG account. Is she doing it for awareness? Following? Raising funds for CF research?
I doubt it is particularly helpful for other CF parents as their situation is quite unique (stay at home mum with lengthy childcare experience, “easy” baby/toddler) so the advice is probably not easy to replicate.
She also said she’d protect the child’s privacy but continues showing her face so much on stories (which can also go viral) and sharing intimate details (nobody needs to know about today’s tummy issues for example).
She’d probably be better off having a separate account on parenting (activity ideas etc) and a private account focused on day to day medical things.
 
I also found it bizarre that she said she wouldn't change being a medical parent for the world. I mean why wouldn't you change your daughter having a chronic life reducing disease?

Possibly, although someone who I know who sells the FM crap and they don’t mark it as ad etc.

Also I’m not sure if anyone has seen the stories on her IVF page but her smugness is unbelievable.
 
She does come across as incredibly smug. Today the smugness was through the roof! Look at my perfect child sleeping 12+ hours in their own bed. I’m going to take her off antibiotics even if it’s going against our hospital rules because I know better. And then unfortunately very sad news but might explain why the child sleeps so much.
