It’s soooo bland. I know the maximalist trend is overdone but it suits a period property much better more than what’s she done. Everything she’s done so far looks too big or too small (plus she’s ripped a fireplace out of the kitchen too, I see). She obviously has no idea about interior design because you can’t just transplant your signature style from one property to the next unless you know what you’re doing. Painting everything beige and putting modern features in a period property is what a house flipper does. I’m not saying absolutely everything should be period appropriate but imo, she should have worked with the features of the house, rather than trying to erase them entirely. That’s what a lot of people did in the 60’s/70’s with houses built pre war and we’re now everyone spending money trying to restore the original features. If she wanted to live in a soulless box, buy a new build or build it yourself.
I might be in the minority but I liked what she did with her last house, but this one is just blah. I can see the look she’s going for, but she’s just missing the mark. The mirror on the wall above the fire in the dining room (?) is foul too.
