I'm loving this so far but hating having to wait for the next episodes!

I really hope it's not Grace, well I don't mind if it's a cold blooded murder but I hope they don't say she's psycho and blacked out the whole thing because I think that's a cop out and too predicable, eg the therapist turning out to need therapy etc etc.

Did think her dad was involved initially but now I'm thinking he's a red herring.

Lawyer mate potentially my prime suspect, I bet she had an affair with Hugh Grant too.

Completely ridiculous theory- the victim was depressed and suicidal anyway but wanted revenge on Hugh so she arranged for her own gruesome death knowing Hugh would be blamed 🤪🤔

I’m still unsure about the dad. I think the sob story of him lending money to Jonathan was a bit of a cover for him actually knowing a lot more.. idk. I like that at the moment there are so many possible theories!
 
So I was thinking earlier about theories...she upset the woman who was in therapy with her by suggesting she wasn’t very picky with her men, it seems her counselling style is a little bit harsh...a psychotic ex patient with an axe to grind? Framing her and her husband to cause maximum distress? I know it would have to be sophisticated but maybe she had a psychopathic but brilliant patient capable of pulling it off?
OR she’s doing it to punish her husband bc she found out about the affair...she was very keen to call the police and get him arrested...she did it but has framed him?
also, we keep seeing her husband in like a dreamy flashback to with a patient in the hospital, a child with cancer...their child perhaps who didn’t make it and she blames her husband? ill be upset if it was her lol that’s too easy

I feel like the police detective knows more than he’s letting on as well...why arrest her husband then turn on her with footage that they’d known about for a while? I find his approach a bit strange..unless he thinks they did it together?
 
So at the end of episode 2 I had 3 theories -
Nicole Kidman did it for all the reasons people have said

their kid?? - could be a little psycho, found out about his dad & lost his tit. Maybe more might come out about the kid & his past behaviour in later episodes etc

her lawyer friend - purely because she is from American Horror Story & ALWAYS has a main part & plays a belter of an evil/sadistic character. The shout he could have been having an affair with her too was a good one whoever said that!

at the end of episode 3 I added her dad to the collection but do feel like it’s obvious but I think if he is involved, he’s paid for it to happen rather than him doing it himself

I think the vic’s husband is too obvious & I think hugh grant is too obvious but then I had a thought that they go to all this trouble to get him off with it & then it come out that he did do it & she finds out right at the end of the series 🤷🏽‍♀️🕵🏽‍♀️
 
So glad there’s a thread on this! I’ve watched 3 episodes so far and really enjoying it.
I don’t think Hugh Grant killed her but not sure who did 🧐 The theories on here about the lawyer friend are a good shout, she seems to be hovering around Grace a lot fishing for info

She’s the only friend from that group of mums that didn’t ignore her at the school gate that first day, makes you wonder what her and graces relationship is really like..might just be she’s just a good true friend to grace, but yall are right she pops up a lot
 
I am finding this programme a bit weird, yet strangely compelling.

But, I can’t help stare at Nicole Kidman’s lips every time she speaks. 🤣 Clearly she has had some kind of Botox or work done to them. They remind me a little of the work Renee Zellweger has had done to her lips and Meg Ryan.

Honestly why do they bother, it doesn’t improve things?

I find it strange that in reviews no one mentions the strange behaviour of elena - the nudity, the intense things she was saying. And why Grace didn’t mention it to the police.
the police...well their whole interview techniques i find strange. I mean why are they interviewing lots of the school kids and hanging around the school when she wasn’t murdered there? Lots of focus on the school from them.
I’m convinced there is something going on with the lawyer friend and Hugh grant, the look they shared ect.
Surely Donald Sutherland is going to have a bigger role if he agreed to a role? But I don’t think a rich old man like that would care about an affair his daughter didn’t even know about.
if it turns out she blanked out the killing then that’s a cop out for me... not here for that. It was an over done plot in the 90s
