Alan Cumming said that he doesn’t sleep in the castle, he stays in a cottage, but he does have a room with bed in the castle 😊

Host of The Traitors US (which is also filmed at Andross Castle in the Scottish Highlands) Alan Cumming revealed to Daily Beast that, in fact, it's nowhere near as fancy.

"Spoiler alert: None of us stayed in the castle," he revealed. "None of us. [The contestants] all stayed in the airport hotel in the Inverness airport. How glamorous — you come to Scotland, and you stay in the Inverness airport hotel."

Alan added that he "stayed in a little house in Inverness.", and that he did have a room in the castle "where I would get made up and dressed... [it had] a huge bed in it. So I did actually sleep quite often but not overnight."
 
Does anyone else wish there was a different host for this game? I don't dislike Claudia but I don't like her much either. She seems very forced in her delivery to me. I do think the show could benefit from someone who could be more theatrical and amusing.

This is the first time I've watched this show and it strikes me that so far the traitors have a pretty easy job as long as they are able to keep their cool and get others to like them. Everyone seems to be making accusations based on if they've connected with each other rather than having any real clues to sift through.

I really love Rodger, the Australian host, because he leans into the posh castle owner personality and is hilarious in the breakfast segments.

No, personally I adore Claudia's hosting style. I think she's the right blend of camp and gothic. Delivers it in the right style of serious and pantomime for what is basically a parlour game. And I think she helps make it so good.
 
There’s something really odd about Dianne’s reaction to Antony, and it seems so visceral it’s making me seriously side eye her.
Does she honestly not remember that the “incident” happened BEFORE the Traitors were chosen, so his actions had no bearing whatsoever on whether he’s a traitor or not.

I agree. I've got to admit I don't really like her on Strictly as I find her a bit annoying but I like her on The Traitors.

Dianne gives me big Unionist energy. Seems the marching, union jack waving oddball you get in NI. I could be wrong but as an Irish person it's the energy she's giving me.

Makes you wonder how many children she has written off and gone in on aggressively as a teacher because of some random comment or action.
