Didn’t the board pick Chapek? If I’m not mistaken Thomas Staggs was set to succeed Iger. He was instrumental in purchasing Pixar and Marvel.
Chapek got dealt a crappy hand. Idk who could navigate a multi billion dollar company through a pandemic like this. Hopefully Disney is realizing that consumers are pissed. We don’t want to pay Disney prices for Six Flags experiences.

CMs seem to be very happy Iger is back. The fact that he told employees first before the press already sets a different tone.

Well ladies and gents, Cheapek, has been Lobbed. I am rejoicing but also nervous it will be more of the same with Iger back in Office.

1) Considering Tim constantly reminds us how tall he is and that he runs eVeRYmOrNinG, an 11 minute mile — even on a bad day — for a 6’+ dude is pathetic. Sure he might not have been trying real hard because it’s his 78th vacation this year, but he seemed to be happy with his snails pace as he JOGGED his way to a plastic medal. bUt He eArNeD iT.

2) Ginn proved how much she sucks when she has to vlog. It is seriously just boring #HomeMovies. Especially when she films solo. Dumb, stupid, and ignorant.

3) For two parents that freaked the f out for most of J$’s life if he ingested the tiniest bit of sugar, they give zero shits now about giving the kid sugar breakfast, lunch, and dinner. 🙄

My brain can’t even imagine Ginn attempting to discuss the business strategies and financial management failures that led to Chapek having to fire himself. Her only talking point would be the food booths at EPCOT festivals costing more while the portion size decreased.

She'd probably just mention that the portions in cuntciere were too small :rolleyes: about to watch the latest video. Hopefully, it will work like J$ sleepy juice.
 
Okay, THIS! I was coming here to say this! And this is the exact reason why they keep getting away with tit. No one talks about the obvious double standards (LIES) that they tell! It was what a week and a half between cruises, where she made a big deal about caffeine and talking about it over and over and then she has a cherry coke! 😂 how do people notncatch on to this?! The caffiene and alcohol lie has been biuncing nack and forth for years, and somehow their fans arent catching onto it lol. That goes to show what Tim and Jenn think of their fans, even they dont think they will catch onto something they said last week. Its so unreal and lind of facisnating to see sometimes. They lie so much and yet the stans will defend them to the end and cant even keep the stories straight lol. The copious amounts of seafood that Jenn never gets to eat, yet continues to eat 5 plates of each video, the alcohol that they never drink yet have stashed away in their freezer and glasses of wine they try to pan away from, the caffeine they dont drink yet have a favorite coffee from a shop and gideons, and a cherry coke on the cruise and people still dont see the lies? And these are the very simple lies they tell... i mean theres something wrong with people who overlook these things

On this cruise, J¢ asks his egg donor what the can of cherry coke she's holding is. She tells him it's "spicy water" but "like different... it's soda". If the boy is a genius, why don't you just tell him it's soda, like the soda he had last week? Was soda okay for him to have last week but not this week? Just like how she made a big deal about asking if root beer had caffeine last week but this week she doesn't need to pretend because it's coke from cuntcierge? 🥴

As far as I'm aware, there was never really an answer why he stepped down abruptly a couple years ago and left Chapek in place. CEOs of successful companies without serious health issues don't just quit overnight. I still think there's something there that hasn't been told.
Also, in his whole CEO tenure, he's NEVER been able to create a real succession plan. Why would he be better at it now? I think ultimately, he'll do one or two things so people will clap and cheer for him and then it'll be the same.

I agree. I cannot stand Dev, but we are on a Merrytime Wish cruise, so I'm genuinely interested and watched. He was actually enthusiastic about it all and when he pointed out something he wasn't thrilled about (like the CMs clapping when you entered the ship) he followed up with something he liked. Tim and Jenn seem bored by it all and it's basically nothing but complaining or calling things "interesting" which is a complaint to them.
