I have a picture in our hospital room, my husband is holding our son and I’m cradling a giant roast beef sub from Jersey Mike’s lolI didn't eat an ounce of deli meat while I was pregnant, even warmed up. I was craving a turkey sub right after I gave birth and my husband went and got me one that night.
But no. And also no on the caffeine in iced tea and Barq's. Just saw a study last week that caffeine during pregnancy may cause children to not reach their full height (gasp, heaven forbid if both of Tim's kids can't ride the brown rolly coastie by age 2).
I avoided so much, even if my OB was like if you’re not comfortable than just wait. So, I didn’t have any sort of nitrates- no pork roll, hot dogs, bacon, sausage, etc., no herbal teas only decaf coffee, definitely no lemon or garnishes in water or mocktails bc they can harbor bacteria.
My vices were donuts and spicy tacos once a week, but not on the same day and cherry Italian ice. Then when my pediatrician said to avoid food dyes while breast feeding I gave that up too. I still don’t allow my son food dyes or excessive sugar.
She’s such a selfish asshole.
