I have always wondered that too. I think I remember him saying once that he wasn’t sure if it was worth it. It’s not, but then again, pretty much nothing they do is worth the prices they pay for things just for the show-off factor.

DVC, AP's, all these "statuses" on DCL don't come with the perks they used to. For a lot of people it's a flex but I'm just as happy with my Disney vacations and I'm not locked into any financial commitments and can vacation somewhere else without worrying about losing points
Normally, I'd say this means DVC is completely off the cards then since it wouldn't be financially responsible of them...but, given their recent behaviour, this is TOTALLY the time they'd start panic buying into it as a status grab/view bait.

They do quite a bit of Royal Caribbean, especially Florida cruises because they live in Orlando area. The nice thing is that they always try to do different excursions when visiting the same places. They also research things to provide facts, like one cruise they were talking about the meanings of the flags that are flown at different times on ships. On the flip side, you have TTT who does the same thing every cruise, wonders tit allowed without just looking it up and giving the answer (ie - the flags that are posted on Castaway spell out “Mickey Mouse”…but Tim never looked it up).
There is a way to make cruising look fun and interesting….TTT doesn’t do that at all.

If I remember correctly...if it's free or comped these assholes don't tip. I think it was WBG they had their almost $200 tab comped and they didn't tip out the servers. They are entitled and socially inept hillbillies at the same time.I think he's eager for Platinum for the early booking opportunities--specifically the cabanas on Castaway Cay. Maybe for the Small World Nursery if that is the reason why we haven't seen J$ go there. They are going to want to dump Prop #2 when they can cruise again.
As Platinum, we also get our own private line at the terminal, so we don't have to wait with the commoners.When we sailed out of Miami, we got to wait in the concierge waiting area in the terminal. The last time we cruised out of Port Canaveral, we just walked on the ship, so I can't say if that is offered there. The Trackers are always late, so that won't make a difference to them. To me, I want to be on the ship the second I can to take full advantage of my time.
For some reason, it's everyone in your stateroom that gets the free Palo. We did Palo Brunch on our June cruise. My husband and 18 year old were still Gold at the time. They comped all of our meals. As far as Palo tipping goes, at the end of your meal, you are given a check and there is a tip line. So for our 3 person Palo brunch, it had $45 brunch on there 3 times and it was zeroed out at the end. Then there was a tip line where you write your tip on. So yes, Palo servers get tipped separately from your regular dining room folks.
