The Third Day

I’ve been out all day and missed it! I flicked on about 5 mins when I got home towards the end but at that point it was just people dancing to music in the distance.

Might give it a watch on catch up tomorrow though, did it add anything to the story?

Yes and no. It kind of followed on from the last episode of summer, but it was more of a stand alone event. Will be interesting to see if anything is referenced in the first episode of winter.

Did anyone else watch the next episode tonight? The woman’s choices and determination to stay on the island were driving me made - surely she would have been concerned about the safety of her daughters? And then it got to the end and it made sense!

got round to watching it tonight. Thought it was brilliant! The panic attack (not a spoiler) gave me a clue as to who she was, which was confirmed at the end. Really interested to understand what has happened on the island since ‘autumn’.

My prediction is that

Sam being kept on the island after everything that happened in the first series caused a divide - there was a bit when they’re in the house where the men said “(name) is on his side, he’ll be dealt with”

Put that as a spoiler in case anyone is watching the first series 😂 But the island is being shown as a lot darker/run down now. Can’t wait for the next ep I hate having to wait a whole week!

I thought something else was going to happen at the end, when she was on the floor and pulled the white and blue top towards her - I thought it looked like the top that belonged to Nathan in one of the earlier episodes. I wondered if the hut belonged to the guy who took him, as they’d said he’d hidden with him on the mainland.

But then in the next shot it was the blue and white carrier bag so I don’t know if it being the t shirt was her imagining it, or me imagining it 😂

SPOILER
You didn’t imagine it, it was definitely the tshirt at one point. I read a review that suggested it was her finally accepting nathan was gone. I think they said in a previous episode that he and the guy who took him were in a caravan (there were flashbacks sam saw of this in ‘summer’ i think?). I don’t understand why the islanders didn’t go after them at the end, as they wouldn’t have got far. Surely they’d be worried they would go to the Police?

ETA - tried to add a spoiler button but didn’t do it right 🤦🏼‍♀️ so manually! Sorry!

Ohh yes you’re right about the caravan!

Yeah I thought that too. Surely they would have had a bigger boat to catch them up if they’d wanted to, she wouldn’t have been going that fast in the water...

Such a good series though!
