I've recently branched out to mods for sims 2 just to change it up a bit and I don't know what half of them do but I must've downloaded a baby/pregnancy mod because my sim suddenly started breastfeeding her babies very convenient rather than having bottles everywhere - I believe it's a thing in sims 4 as standard but I've rarely played 4 as it's too "easy", I like the challenge of sims almost dying all the time in sims 2

So accurate! I loved TS2 teens in particular with their gawkiness and acne. I wish they would revisit the teen stage in TS4 (High school years would have been the perfect opportunity) or even add a pre-teen stage to capture that part. It’s so weird that they go straight to looking like their adult selves!

Is anyone else’s game broken after the update? Once I’ve switched control to any Sim other than the one active when it loads I can only open the Needs panel (not Inventory / Job / Relationships etc), can get into build/buy mode but the bottom panel doesn’t change so I can’t do anything, can’t even open the menu to exit and have to do it through Task Manager. A big chunky update, but totally useless to me…!

I don’t think so… I have custom content in the game but no mods. I’ll try turning CC off and see if that helps, thanks for the heads up!

I’ve not played The Sims in ages, since High School pack came out. I see there are some packs on sale. If you were to buy one of these 3 which would you go for?

I got the rent one, they’re even cheaper on CDkeys by the way (think it was 12 pounds) I can’t say I’m ecstatic, it’s kind of boring I’m a landlord and all I do all day (and night) is respond to their complaints that start repeating and it just gets quite old quite quickly. I also wanted to give the build a landlord special but if it wasn’t for the grotty city living objects like stained wallpapers, the new pack doesn’t have nearly good build/buy things (apart from a chipped radiator). I loooove a crusty nasty build and I feel like this would’ve been the exact pack to put nasty things in. The world sucks as well. It’s more like a game pack than an expansion pack

The only one of those I have is Growing Together and I really like what it brings to gameplay for the infant life stage in particular. The world and the build/buy objects also really suit my style of play.

Growing together for sure. It’s content that should’ve been in base game but it’s definitely best one. For rent is broken and boring and horse ranch is also boring

Got them all an am kindi ehhh with them all tbh, so it kindi depends on what your looking for, rent an horse both offer a new world so if you are looking to expand an get new worlds then they are good for that, I don't mind the horse one as much because it offers horse riding an its something different you can do with your Sims but that's about it really

Probably the best like everyone says is GT but if honestly wait on a really good sale or wait till they do a multi pack because honestly I don't feel any of them were worth the price

They have this event thing on an this keeps popping up at the corner of the screen, I don't know how to get it off, you can click on the diamond to minimise it but literally every time you pause, switch character, travel it just comes back up it's a pain in the ass an honestly I couldn't care less about doing the tasks

Oh that’s the grim reaper event. I played a little last week on a new save and did some of the tasks but not much and I don’t know how you’d get rid of it

Am not overly fussed on it but I wish they had put some sort of option in to not show it, I've searched everywhere for something but can't find anything

Also have they changed babies? Because holy tit the thing crys like every 3 hours, I can't remember them being this bad, I know you have the infant stage added but I could have sworn babies had like a 5 or 6 hour gap between needing something

You can't get rid of the GRE icon. It's so annoying but I'm pretty sure it's almost finished so it'll be gone soon .
