I don’t think HM death is imminent as others have made out. I think it’s likely she may have had a fall and is considerably more frail, especially since Philip passing but that’s to be expected, she is 95 after all and needs to take it easy.
I concur. People did the same with Philip for years before he passed away. She's got a bad back, she's had a tit year, she wants to rest, let her be. The others are there to carry the load.

The tone in the papers is increasingly gloomy today. Nobody has released any details but they are all implying that things are serious. I think the powers that be are not expecting the Queen to bounce back from her latest set back. I think she is still alert and has her with about her. I expect she will prerecord a Christmas message and take some zoom calls. The last time she missed the cenotaph service was when she was pregnant with Edward. (She used to be on horseback for it) so she would not have cancelled it lightly.
I used to work in a nursing home and people could often hang on for something special. She might manage her family Christmas at Sandringham as she is obviously looking forward to it. I watched the Coronation as a baby and I think I will be around for my second, in colour this time.

To be quite honest I’m fully expecting a news flash on my phone saying that she’s died. Every time I get the BBC news update my heart actually sinks. I agree that the press know more than they are letting on and the lack of information is making people speculate even more (lots of theories that she’s dead and we are not being told, which is tosh obviously).

Same here.

I was watching the F1 yesterday before the race started and it briefly froze and I thought this is it. A proper friend of a friends dog story but apparently there was a big meeting at Balmoral over the weekend including top police from the area etc. Could obviously be complete coincidence as I assume there are regular security meetings but whispers she's nearing the end. I honestly hope she isn't but realistically I think it's likely.

I think it’s unlikely she’ll ever return to Balmoral sadly. Have you seen the funeral plans for if she were to die in Scotland? Honestly this sounds awful, but I actually wish she would. It would be absolutely epic and such a fitting send off at the end of such an amazing life. She’d lie in state at Hollyrood, before being taken down the Royal Mile on the back of a carriage and put on the royal train at Edinburgh Waverley. The brought back to London by rail. It’s expected that people would gather to watch the train pass. If you’ve ever seen photos of the train taking Abraham Lincoln’s coffin to its final resting place, I’d imagine it would be something like that. Just thinking about it makes me well up 😢

I think she has likely had a fall and done her back and given herself some significant bruising in the process. My Nan bruises so easily and constantly falls over and isn't that different in age to TQ. I reckon she is laying low until the bruising goes down and she can be seen again- can you imagine the media storm if the Queen had bruises on her face?

She is a very old lady - I think the family are probably preparing for bad news at some point soon though.

I am really hoping this is the scenario.

I have an elderly relative who is very prone to falls and has had some terrible bruising as a result. Especially to the face.

The palace have to carry on as normal because it it far more suspicious if their schedules radically change. There was all the brouhaha when Philip was in hospital and Charles visiting and then he passed quite unspectacularly at Windsor Castle.
