The Queen with Paddington was the highlight for me that and the drones. I enjoyed Alicia Keys very much. @VioletButterfly thats just the way people from the UK go on, people who don't like the Royals don't watch them or bother to comment. Not all of us are total sycophants for them either but we tend to enjoy the pomp and history. It was merely piss taking at a rather mediocre lineup, personally I think they could have done better.
Don't let it put you off posting there are lots of reverent royal watchers here too and believe me when its required we all are respectful.

It’s a general discussion rather than rave thread. There’s a mix of people of who do and don’t like the monarchy and some people who have mixed feelings. I don’t know how to do it but you could start a rave thread if that’s what you’re after.

Edit: I see that you are a regular contributor to the Harry and Meghan snark threads. That seems to be an extremely safe space to rave about the marvels of the Queen and the royal family.

It was very ‘curate’s egg’ wasn’t it?
Good bits - Paddington skit, the lighting, the tree thing, the drones, Alicia Keyes, Sam Ryder.
Not so good bits … much of what’s left. Although Did like Diana Ross stopping singing before the singing did and looking like she wanted to turn the wind machine down.

At the murdering Of Climb Every Mountain … message from friend - I thought Nicola was the other one that could sing! 😱

Had a quick look earlier wanting to see a paper label who they all were in the box, and can't find it. Who was and wasn't there is interesting. I didn't notice rishi sunak, was he there?

I've tried to find info too. Nada. Some royal family members and a whole pile of randoms. Definitely no Rishi.

The Sunday papers really aren't doing their job properly by not annotating a picture!

Does seem a bit bitter of Rishi to not attend these things now he's no longer the golden boy. Although a night in-between Priti and Nadine can't be much fun 😆
