The Responder

Only watched the first episode, won't be watching any more.

The wife's love interest is rather tasty. Have not seen him on tv for a while

We finished ep1 last night and I can swear like a good'un but every other word of the dialogue was duck or bleeping and it really threw me off

I’ve just watched the first episodes. I must say as a Scouser I think Martin Freeman‘s accent is absolutely spot on. I don’t think he could’ve got it anymore perfect.
It also has shades of the old police drama that was also set in Liverpool called Liverpool one with Samantha Janus and Mark Womack
I will say the typical stereotypes are appalling though

Was series 1 out 2022?! I was certain it was last year.
On the final episode. The series isnso grim and nail biting but can't stop watching it

Absolutely gripping acting in both series.
I live in Liverpool, I don’t see these characters as ‘typical stereotypes’ like many seemed to. It’s set on a true story, and these kind of people operate in most cities - lord knows there’s plenty of less than savoury people in Liverpool. Why so sensitive about it?

As an aside did anyone watch the Panorama about the Huyton Firm going down for attempted murder on the back of the police hacking their encrypted chats, chilling stuff.

Watched it all now. Luke others I struggled with it at first and found it very dark, but there is also a level of dark humour in it that added another dimension and although it was too neatly tied up at the end I would recommend it to anyone who likes gritty police/social dramas.
