Starts tonight on BBC 1 at 9pm. Martin Freeman with a scouse accent threw me but the preview looked good and it was written by an ex copper who left the force after having a breakdown, he was interviewed on BBC Breakfast this morning and came across well so hope this is better than Trigger Point!

So if I was concentrating, it sounds like he perhaps was a Detective but something happened and he’s since been demoted and has perhaps PTSD?

I don’t think it’s been revealed how he became involved with the drug dealer has it? I see all episodes are available on iPlayer so I think I’ll watch more throughout the week.

Really like Martin Freeman, he’s come a long way since Tim from The Office!

I enjoyed it, I agree it sounded like he was promoted off the beat and then demoted again after some issues. I think it was well put together, the performances were good and the writing was very genuine. Having worked in confrontational front line roles it hit the nail on the head for me. A strong opener, hope the othsr episodes follow suit.

Jeeze its dark. The elderly lady scene was disturbing. He seems oddly detached but also very in tune with his emotions, I think this is going to be good.

that bit made me laugh. It wasn’t as cringy as it usually is I’m only on episode 2, but will finish it. Thanks for posting @CrackingOwlSanctuary it went under my radar. I watched the first episode of the Vicky McClure one before this, that’s decent as well!

Just finished episode 3, really enjoying it. And really loving the scousers-and Martin being a scouser. Actually as much as I love Stephen Graham I’m so glad they didn’t cast him, it would’ve been so predictable

I always loved Freeman, ever since his Tim days. Tim was the best! Highly recommend ghost stories if you're a fan. I'm really enjoying the responder, can't call whats going to happen or where they're going with the storyline.

I agree with the "finding Martin Freeman fit in this" vibe. I'm glad I'm not the only one LOL. I thought it was a much better watch than Trigger Point, which judging by the first episode, was massively overhyped in my opinion.
