A little off topic but I'm doing a RHONY rewatch and I've got to the season where Bethenny and Carole fall out. I find it so sad to watch and kind of uncomfortable - what do you think happened there?

Continuing my rewatch and got to the reunion - it's so uncomfortable. Honestly, everyone apart from Sonja is absolutely gunning for Bethenny.

I'm sure it can be difficult to be friends with Bethenny - she has her own issues which obviously stem back to her childhood and she's not always the best at communicating, but I feel like they are all waiting for her to mess up. Carole's rapid turn on her is really something. I always thought something big must've happened off camera but Carole has appeared on podcasts and in the press talking about RHONY a lot and I think she would've mentioned it by now.

I’m currently watching Atlanta, the season before this latest one, as I’m behind on Atlanta as I kind of lost the will to live watching the one before the one I’m watching now (you RH fans follow this right😁?)

Two observations - where the hell did they find the friends of …Latoya? Falynn? And what happened to Tanya? I’m halfway through the season and I’m thinking it won’t get any better will it?

Second observation - the food! The glorious food! The crab cakes, the lobsters, the Mac and cheese! No franchise loves their food like Atlanta. It’s such a refreshing change from ‘I’ll have the bread less burger and the salads with dressing on the side’, or the ubiquitous low carb snack ‘the charcuterie board’ 🙄. I love them for eating and not giving a tit.

As for Bethenny and Carol, it was brutal. I loved Carol until that season. She ’changed’ - was It Adam? Was it jealousy? I’ll always have a soft spot for Bethenny because she’s an OG and I hated how Carol was openly cruel to her. Sometimes friendship breakups are actually harder than relationship breakups and theirs was a prime example of it.

I skipped through a lot of the season you are watching but I kind of liked Latoya... she was messy and I like a messy housewife. I think Falynn came on so Porsha could steal her husband 😂 That story is still so funny to me! Rumor is that Tanya left because of Strippergate. She didn't want her name being dragged that she had a 3some with Porsha and the stripper. It was a pretty bad season

Totally agree with you. I love seeing the Atlanta women eat and not care!

I didn't like Carol that season at all. She did change. Bethenny is extremely needy and everyone knows that. Bethenny also has abandonment issues and for Carol to be so mean to her while Bethenny was going through an insane divorce made me feel bad for Bethenny. If Bethenny was being too needy Carol could have backed away in a nicer way... if she had really ever been her friend imo

😳 Although I read about Porsha‘s getting a new man, I didn’t realise it was Falynn’s!! Latoya is messy alright and I suppose Atlanta is the only franchise where the friends can cause more drama that the HWs! I have zero opinion on Drew other than she’s pretty? Gonna zip through this season to get to the new one...
 
RHOM: I feel really sorry for Lisa, especially after the last Miami reunion where she talked about how she has abandonment issues from her parents so Lenny is the only stability she’s ever had in a relationship

edit: which is even more sad considering even in vintage Miami all that Lenny was ever interested in was having children; not having children WITH LISA. No wonder Lisa fawned over her housekeeper, Daisy. Probably the only person who paid her any attention

I feel sorry for her that she has no real self esteem. I just watched Miami from the beginning and it was painfully obvious Lenny didn't love her, she was just the trophy wife. They had quite a few conversations over the seasons where she asked him if he loved her, if they still "had it", were they good and he would just look at her and just nod or say "ya ya". This last season she really became obsessed with looking perfect, asking at the reunion to move to where there was better light for her. So sad to see a woman so low and a man take advantage of that. I hope the prenup is solid and doesn't expire like the Darby's on Potomac and that Lisa starts building her self esteem after this... she is still young and has many decades left to live a fabulous, happy life
