Haven't caught up on BH yet but just watched Miami. Lisa is starting to grate on me. I was all for her and rooting for her but she is showing a really selfish side of her and really didn't like her calling Alexia and Marysol saying Larsaa and I will stick up for you...it was real mean girl vibes

Garcelle has really let herself down in the last few episodes. This is just unnecessary behaviour.
Not clicking with or getting along with Garcelle does not mean that Dorit is racist, and it is so unfair to even suggest this.

Regardless of the colour of Garcelle's skin- Dorit felt attacked by her and she expressed this.

Also on a side note to this - Although it maybe wasn't the best comparsion... Garcelle's reaction to when Dorit attempted to relate to her by saying that she too was also part of a marginalised group (being Jewish) was just nasty.
 
Well SLC episode was indeed epic!
Monica throughout looked like she couldn’t believe she was there and that she quietly despised them all- so I’m not sure why it shocked me.

I also don’t t understand why they all felt the need to lie for Jen- other than she must have been extremely manipulative and so Heather just couldn’t see any other way. BTW it was obvious they knew what had happened- I had assumed just embarrassing drunk antics.

I also love it that Jen doubled down on her denial from prison 😂

Dorit suffers from foot in mouth syndrome I think, I can see that in LA right now, you need to consider your words carefully around people of colour. Just be mindful.

I also think, being Jewish whilst living in LA isn’t really the same as living in other places. So yes, Jews are a persecuted minority in much of the world, but they have little to fear from LAPD. It’s this discrepancy that Dorit misses repeatedly. I don’t think she’s racist- just oblivious but that’s not ok either.

I don't really see how this clip proves anything new. We all know Monica's been angry with her mom for siding with Angie at the easter lunch. We all also know that Monica's mom is obsessed with the show and fame/attention it brings. Monica's mom yelling at her for not doing more to get more stage time isn't unexpected. Monica's mom is a typical stage mom who's trying to live out her dreams of fame through her own daughter. I don't think Monica sees this show as anything more than a way for her to make more money for her and her daughters (kind of like Teresa).

The storyline with her mum was fake. The trip to Bermuda and making out her family didn't want to see her there was bullshit imo. There's always fake storylines on Housewives though so you are right doesn't prove anything new

I do think Monica released the footage herself

Agreed. However, it was Dorit's attempt to relate to Garcelle in some way.

Perhaps Garcelle could have expressed herself better though? Instead of immediately snapping at her and saying that it is not her job to educate her? How is this productive?
 
But it’s not up to Black people to educate privileged white people on their privilege, is it?

Black people shouldn’t have to do all the work. Dorit has a brain she can use it instead of expecting Garcelle to do all the running. I can absolutely see why Garcelle refused to.

The Jewish community is big strong and powerful and often wealthy in LA (I lived there for a while) it’s absolutely not going to wash with a black person that they share the same experiences.

I don’t think Garcelle has much time for Dorit, but I can see why!
