I was under the impression she wanted to live a double life / not have people ask about Jaxon, the huge brooch with his face on attached to her work lanyard is surely going to prompt questions, “Aww is that your son?” etc. And people obviously aren’t going to assume in the first instance that he’s passed, so surely she’s going to have to tell them? Which would surely send her into another depressive suicidal spiral?

what she means is she used her sons passing and played the mental health card to get part time without doing the how many required years service of full time.
you have to pass a medical to be crew so she’s fully fit medically to fly. She Just cba to do full time.
