Criminals, whatever their background, wouldn’t give a flying duck about the sentimental value, to just hand over the passports/ID whatever. It’s one of those situations where “video/photo or it didn’t happen” because it’s incredibly unbelievable.

She seems to be saying she had a nap (in the car) when she heard her flight was put back a few hours, went in to get Subway, and then when she got back to her car, it had been broken into.

What I can’t get my head around is that if she did manage to find where her stuff was, why on earth would they give her anything back as surely that would be proof that they’d taken everything?
