Why is she encouraging people to take their sick kids to the US? Surely she must realise how much healthcare is in the US? You can’t just decide to do it.
She honestly has no idea what shes talking about. You cant just decide to take a seriously unwell child to America, walk into a hospital and bang, everything is ok. It doesn’t work like that! And, frankly, she didnt bother her arse to look into exploring any other lines of medical care for him in the UK or in Europe did she? No. Shes just got some ridiculous notion in her head where she thinks American healthcare is like walking into Greys Anatomy or something! Shes really not very intelligent at all.

She had alot of money raised that she probably could have taken Jaxon abroad too however she spent it on holidays and designer gear
That’s what I was going to say, does she think folk have endless pots of cash, or are comfortable starting multiple Go Fund Mes? Does she even know if a hospital in America could have done something for Jaxon?

Quite the reverse with her, she had GOSH fixated in her head and any time he wasn’t being treated there she’d throw tantrums

I don’t know about Virgin but each missed flight (regardless of the reason) was a mark against your record at my old airline.

Also you’re expected to check the weather and traffic well in advance and leave additional time to make it to work on time so that’s really not an excuse. Bet it was somewhere she didn’t want to go. Moaning about lack of £££ but how are you affording part time anyway

I struggled to see how she could afford to do this on a full time salary but there is no way shes going to be able to sustain this on a part time wage. I cant see her lasting much longer with Virgin.

I’m sure this has been asked before but is it normal for flight crew to live so far from the airport? Just seems a bit weird to me

Majority do live close because it makes life so much easier, but it’s more expensive. Lots do commute, some even from Scotland or Europe, they usually end up paying for hotels for the night before or after a trip though so the price adds up, and fuel for someone like Kathleen would cost heaps too.

No its not normal and she must have lied about it to get the job. You normally have to live within about an hour and a halfs drive from the base airport
No a fair few people do commute a long way for the job. I follow some on tik tok and insta and one lives not far from Kaytee, Manchester, even Scotland. When you apply you just have to agree to be within you feel is a commutable distance. A lot of people get hotels the night before etc.

Yes I follow diaryofanairhostess and she lives in the same area as Kaytee. I think its 2 and a half hours drive is the limit. She says people travel from all over. Quite common I think.

You have to live within a certain distance of the base airport because they need you to be close by to come in quickly on standby.
