The Night Stalker - netflix

Oh yes, I had the rage at that one too. So much nonsense that is irrelevant! I've just watched Murder among the Mormons which wasn't too bad actually in terms of nonsense but then started the evil genius bank heist one which irritated me within the first 5 minutes so I've given it a miss when I saw how many episodes there were. I'd rather read up on it from Wikipedia than put myself through hours of mindless watching 🙄
The trailer put me off watching that it was so Netflixy. They need to ditch their editing team.

I’m glad I found this thread! I watched this after watching The Cecil Hotel and realising he had stayed there. (TCH was too long and quite interesting but how incompetent were the police?)
Anyway, I’m a big baby and tit myself making sure everything was locked before we watched NS and it did cause a few sleepless nights🙃
I too wanted to know more. I wanted to know when he had stayed at the hotel, why he would go all the way to San Fran - what was his connection there? Why he was so random with his selection? I couldn’t understand why they didn’t get him from his dentist appointment, was there no address for him? So many more questions!
I believe it was said he gave a fake address at the dentist’s. For the other questions, I’d like to know more too!

I watched this show a few weeks ago. I’ve seen lots of crime/true crime series but this one made me feel very uneasy. I knew a little about Richard Ramirez because of American Horror Story, but I learned some new details. I was especially affected by the cases of children abuse and murders of the elderly. He really was one of the most unhinged and unpredictable criminals to ever exist. Can’t imagine the terror of knowing a crazy killer is on the loose and you or one of your loved ones can easily be his next victim.

Many of you will probably not agree but I actually think it was a well made documentary. Contrary to The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel which was dragged forever and had little to no substance. Could’ve been a 90 minutes long movie at most.

I thought it was made quite well too, I felt you needed the old cops there to really tell how difficult the case was and the toll on took on them. The Cecil was the biggest waste of my life 🙄 30mins tops could have told the story.
