I happened to see that bit - though I didn’t know they were married so at first I was a bit baffled by her falling to the floor in shock! 😄

It was an excellent twist though.

I watched Jester on YouTube as I heard who it was and was curious to see them in action - I’d never have guessed them right if I hadn’t known!
 
The trouble I have with watching the US version, clips of it on YouTube at least, is that so often I think "Argh, I know that voice!" and then it turns out to be someone I've never heard of. Sometimes it's not even a singer! A prime example - Jellyfish in S4. She was great anyway. We need more talented non-singer contestants on the UK version.
 
Series 6 was really good, I hadn’t heard of some of them, but the standard was very very high. Is series 7 available to watch anywhere?

Ugh but good shout!

The participants all say they take part to do something fun yadda yadda but, in the case of the professional singers, they often have a tour coming up. I see that Gareth Gates, for example, has a Frankie Valli tribute show in the new year that will need promoting. Perhaps we will see an unmasking of the [Joel voice] "Pop Idol LEGEND!". Scrape that barrel, ITV!
