When they don't mention cost it's because it's been gifted, they are quick to chat sh$t about their "bargain" motels otherwise

As to Lisa, she is correct that portions are larger in USA than in the UK and there is also definitely less stigma around sharing meals or ordering kids meals or asking for a To go bag of leftovers. But if the reason you are doing this is purely cost, then if money is that tight it's best to stick to places where you don't need to eat in and be served as you then don't need to factor in tips and drinks etc.
But taking with toilet paper is actually reckless as the ply is different and blocks the system out there.

Like that's what I don't get... if it's the portions that bother you then don't eat out period or as you said, get your leftovers boxed up. I do that all the time and have lunch or supper the next day. It's the doing it at a sit-down restaurant that bothers me. If you want to split a McDonald's combo or a quick-serve meal at Disney, go for it. But don't put it in a video for other Brits to do it as a "cost saving" tip. To me that's embarrassing and chav.

So her excuse is that they’re doing it because they hate to waste the food. Sure it is love. Just because your British father does it and he lives in Florida doesn’t make it right. My parents also have supper by 5 pm every night. Doesn’t mean I’m eating that early because the seniors do it. Lol

A nice restaurant “like Olive Garden” 😂😂😂 I took a trip there last time I was in Florida, I reminded me of the same level as a harvester!

I'm not knocking either I’m a regular at harvester when I can’t be bothered to cook, but wouldn’t class it as a “nice restaurant”

On the toilet roll thing, there has been a lot of discussion about loo roll and dvc on disboards. I’ve not done a dvc stay in a few years as done cruises and rci trades with my points but some have said you get one loo roll rest you provide. Not sure how true that is. Would only see that a problem if you couldn’t get to a supermarket or didn’t want to pay Disney prices for loo roll. I wouldn’t be taking my own though

We've not long since got back from a DVC stay. We had a toilet roll on the holder, a spare one in the bathroom and when we opened the spare one the next day it had been replaced during the security check. I've no idea where this only getting one loo roll thing came from but it's a load of tit (pardon the pun, but it had to be done!!)

The last sentence... literally laughing out loud! 🤣🤣🤣

I mean I know Brits who bring their own tea bags on holiday and maybe their biscuits to have with them but all this other faffing she talked about just did my head in. To me, a vacation is a treat. Something special that I've saved up for. If I knew I was going to do a bunch of shopping, fine I'd bring my coupon for the Coach Outlet or Nike or whatever. But all this printing off coupons and filing them and bringing them with you "just in case" you eat at iHop or go on an airboat ride, etc. No, I'll just suck it up and pay the extra few bucks thanks.

If you're renting a car or getting a car service from the airport, do a shop at Walmart on the way to the hotel or villa and get yourself breakfast stuff, granola bars for the parks, snacks for the room, etc. No need to bring it from home unless someone has specific dietary issues that you don't think can be accommodated in an American grocery store.

duck these people are delusional. Nobody in the UK knows who they are besides the people who watch their videos. They're such assholes and their videos suck so much, they didn't even get an invite to London for the Disney 50th anniversary event last fall like every other British vlogger who does Florida.

Lisa and Ade have released a money saving tip video. I'm still watching but one of them is buying your toilet paper in the UK and bringing it with you since you can't get a small pack for cheap in Orlando. WTF?! Unless you're doing a long term villa rental for more than two weeks, all hotels and rentals provide toilet paper. Why would you fill up your case with TP?! Just buy the cheap big pack at Walmart when you're getting the rest of your groceries and leave it at the villa.

I mean, we all like to save but some of these tips... I can hear the squeaking from here they're being so tight. Also sign up for all the discounts for the off-site restaurants and print off the coupons before you go. I'm sorry but if money is that tight, then you shouldn't be going on vacation to Florida. The end.

OMG, now they're literally telling people to split a main course at any sit-down restaurant. Not a steak mind you Lisa says. But it's completely acceptable everywhere in the US.

No it's bleeping not!!! I just left a comment telling them as much so I'm sure I'll be shadow banned from her channel like I am from P&P's because the truth hurts their delicate feelings.

I'm sorry, that's one thing if you want to split a snack in a park or share a spinach dip as a starter in a restaurant. But no, every person in your party should be ordering their own main. Otherwise, that's just appalling behaviour like what P&P do. Can you just imagine if you're a family of four with two teenagers or university aged kids, and you walk into Olive Garden, Applebee's, Cheesecake Factory, Cracker Barrel, etc. and instead of them getting revenue for four adults, they get revenue for two? They're doing the same amount of work and getting you extra plates and glasses of tap water (god forbid you spend on a drink) and then you're paying for two instead of four and leaving a tip (if you're actually tipping) based on that lower amount.

No wonder they're such good friends with Prick and Pouty. I've had to switch it off because I couldn't watch anymore between the toilet paper and that.
I don't know why Lisa ( foetus) is worried about bringing toilet rolls when she could wipe her small hole with a little napkin from McDonald's, it would last her a month cos she's tiny.

That’s good to know. When we last did dvc on Florida we had loo roll too 🤣 things change though and on disboards it’s been rumbled. Not that I would ever take loo roll with me 🤣

I seem to remember after their first visit to Cracker Barrel, they said they wouldn't be back as they had heard some homophobic complaints about the place.

Well, they had Chick-Fil-A a few vlogs ago and they're notoriously homophobic.

An article was published today in the Orlando paper disclosing that Disney Corp or WDW has given corporate donations to all the state politicians in Florida who are supportive of the new "don't say you're gay" laws that the Florida governor is proposing. People are somehow shocked that their beloved Disney that makes money off the rainbow flag would financially back politicians who hate gay people. Me - not shocked at all. L&R Dreaming are emailing Disney directory for clarification. Snort. They'll get some carefully crafted PR reply. They're having their Disney bubble burst. Boys, the mouse has been a capitalist conservative all these years. He will gladly take your hard-earned money while hating what you are behind the scenes.

Sooooo, will it make any difference at all with all the gay vloggers out there? Probably not. They'll continue to give Disney money like they do Cracker Barrel and Chick Fil A and Hobby Lobby and the rest.

Now I’m going to the toilet roll debate….

I have previously taken toilet roll on holiday to Greece and it’s been a god send when these cheap package deals don’t replace your loo roll on day 6 of your holiday 😂 partly take due to the sand paper they provide but also as it’s been known some places give you one per week.

Also when I went on a break to the Lake District last year we had to go out and buy some loo roll & even in the shop it was placed right by the till as was obviously a common product people had to buy.

I’m not defending her comment on taking loo roll and I never have myself on a trip to WDW I’m just saying I understand why someone may do this, more to be the point if I was paying ££££‘a to go to Disney and was only supplied 1 loo roll I would be seriously pissed DVC or no DVC.

Very true! I had to laugh at L&Rs post. They go to Florida multiple times a year, a place that isn’t very gay friendly really, one of the most hateful states for LBGT. They go to all the restaurants like chic fil a allllllll the time. Cracker Barrel I’m aware has changed since their anti gay days, but then posting about disney made us laugh.

Was extremely entitled of them and hypercritical of them. These vloggers need to take a seat and stick to fairy content and not politics. If they really didn’t like it, don’t go to Florida

Just a little tip regarding YouTube ads, if you have a vpn sign upto you tube premium on the India site. It’s £1.95 a month, I use my starling card to pay the monthly direct debit as there is no charge for the currency conversion. You also get YouTube music with this and no ads on YouTube !

They never addressed the BC stay. I am sure lots of ppl here have confirmed that it is a DVC room so can only assume it is gifted as they never took any time to explain how they rented points, what the cost was or anything. You know, the kind of information that they should be sharing for their followers to do the same.

And the comment about ads, well, one can only assume you are declaring your youtube earnings and paying tax lads or you are breaking the law. You have just confirmed this is your job, so should be recording income and expenses accordingly, as with all your other avenues of gaining money. This just backs up to me that this trip, going out early and trying to keep costs as low as possible with the most insane numbers of ads is because they are not as flush with cash as they like to appear. This Florida trip was supposed to be a cash injection and I for one am happy that it has backfired for them. Their non stop moaning and complaining, providing no real information, and showing their tight ways and cons/hacks have put people off.

The thing is if they do declare their YouTube earnings they cannot even try and claim all the associated costs as expenses, (I've looked into it previously). They would have to be registered at companies house as "The Lodge Guys" or be listed as 'known as the Lodge Guys' or similar wording if they are using a 3rd party to try and hide to do that and that we know they haven't done either.

Alright Nick! Do you have any scams for getting a family of 5 to Florida on £10.51?
