Why does Esme always say "I'm scared" when opening presents?

Because her vocabulary is so poor she can't verbalise what emotion she's feeling, whether it's excitement, nervousness whatever, she calls it scared.

This is one of the side on views. Why is Izzy left to push the pushchair in every clip we’ve seen - I know it’s a snapshot but you know she’s probably pushed Jace around for majority of their time there.

Watching Izzy in DLP certainly brings a lump to him but not to his throat creepy fucker

Esme only wants what she sees on social media, she has no basic hygiene (none of them do so it's unfair they have singled her out to make fun of her). She got the presents she asked for but it's all useless to her and will not be used. A teen following trends is nothing new but because she doesn't talk to anyone else she has no incentive to actually use it, she has no friends to show, no one to share with, she isn't going to go out with friends and get ready, put perfume on etc.

She got a trip to Disney for her birthday - although they were always going to go there anyway so saying it's for her birthday is just another way to get at Isla. But who can she talk about it with, who really cares where they are. It doesn't matter at this point what they get or where they go, their lives are so empty and it's all meaningless.

Which she won’t. They just happened to hit upon what was a natural reaction once and go viral which was when things began to go wrong for all of them really. Before they went viral they were a normal(ish)* family with normal lives. Now, compared to then, it’s silly.

*obviously I’m excluding Mr DIY 2023 from that description!

That what we have started doing with ours, it just makes more sense to get them what they want, within reason.

Did you hear when Sarah said something like 'Esme sent all the links to what she wanted and I don't look at them I just buy what she wants' and then shortly after with the bead set Sarah said something like 'I saw this was a smaller set you linked and it didn't include (something) so I looked around and thought you would prefer this one'. Complete contradiction there.

Also, I think Isla's reaction seemed she was more excited about Esme's presents than her own. Almost everything Esme received Isla would have probably loved.

When she also said isla doesn’t like burgers yet she ate one from McDonald’s the other day doing a trend thing loaded McDonald’s thing she forgets her own lies

No amount of expensive toiletry items is going to improve esme’s personal hygiene, at this point I highly doubt the girl used a toothbrush. Maybe big saz and mr I’m not a nobody should teach her the basics of hand, face and hair washing. Maybe then she would deserve over priced shampoos, face creams and the returned Dyson air wrap. The kid even looks dirty, I feel like I can see the grime on her face, the dirt on her hands and you can defo see the grease in that hair. I feel bad for saying this about a 14 year old but come on you’re 14, regardless of your parents, you KNOW you’re dirty

So Esme gets a banner, tiara and sash plus nice presents, Isla got no card badge or banner and the worse presents id ever seen yet she showed no jealousy towards her sister and was happy watching her open them and saying how nice they were, when Isla was opening her presents she was pretty much on her own and when you did see Esme and Isabelle they were showing no interest at all. It’s just so very sad for Isla
