My sister has 2 goldens and she doesn't get them groomed regularly but she they have a good diet and she brushes them and they definitely don't smell. I have 2 as well and they only smell if they have got wet.

ours only smells if he’s got wet and not been dried off properly, but then he’s being washed every couple of months too so not sure if they would smell musty or not!

I’m currently 30 weeks pregnant and this is also my view when cooking

And at the end of the day, these animals are livestock. They are not your cute and cuddly cat or dog or gerbil. They are chickens, pigs and goats. They are livestock and need to be treated as such. They potentially harbour all sorts of bacteria and viruses. She’s clueless!
