The Frugality #4 I spy with my little eye a secret second storey reaching up to the sky.

I vacuum our play mat & occasionally wipe down with a baby wipe (it’s underneath a trampoline not a dinner table 🤢) - if something gross was on it I’d just hose it down? How are they planning on keeping a deep pile rug clean under there? Why are they so gross?

It’s baffling, they want everything in house to be ’chic’ and fit in with ‘their style’, yet their house appears to be stuffed full of un-necessary crap, complete lack of storage, rooms that can’t be used because of work stuff, preference for a sofa in the kitchen/dining area instead of a dining table and chairs.

She already has a totter and tumble mat. I know because I bought one after seeing hers (which was probably gifted 🙄). It is an amazing product to be fair. Thanks Alex! <gritted teeth>

This post about the play mat is nuts. 'It gets so dirty' - I don't think it gets any dirtier than any other surface?! It just might mean you need to wipe it more often which can only be a good thing. Or does she want to hide the dirt in a fluffy deep pile rug, for her kids to roll around in?! I genuinely don't understand.

She makes such a big deal out of nothing, we’ve got wooden floors throughout the house we just have normal rugs which we Hoover each day and we have e dogs and kids to mess them up! It’s not that hard! Just give them a shampoo every couple of months

if there’s a post begging for a new hoover and carpet shampoo I’m blaming you!!! Will also need to beg for someone to do the actual cleaning too.

I would love to know the p&l on these matches. Yes they are bloody pricey (for a box of matches), but the packing materials + the TIME that has been put in by multiple people to send the damn things out. If you work it out even at minimum wage by the hour, surely it can’t be making any kind of economical sense??

I thought the same. Surely its only really worth it if people are buying multiple per order. Not sure how many would. I also think that’s why they made the meal planner as an easy add-on item - markup on that must be decent.

In other news she was expecting a letter back from Santa (via Royal Mail) but didn’t think to include her return address 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

I don't think Alex understands or has any 'economical sense'
