Oh tit you forgot to include Eric’s booty on the list of his sales too

Yea I spoke about Eric early on and then someone reached out to me about this today.

I can’t say that people don’t change but the first go around, Eric was just looking for quick money to fund his travels. He really didn’t know much about Disney and while he did grow up in the area, he didn’t go to the parks.

He had only sold 2 houses when he took the job and really didn’t ’do’ anything with the opportunity and acted like it was an obligation or annoyance more than anything.

There were several times that people complained about him not getting back to them or flat out, not showing up to their showings when they flew in to see homes and his excuse once was ‘his friend threw a last minute bbq’ and another was ‘he decided to go to Chicago’ as if those were fair reasons to not pick up clients from the airport from showings that he coordinated himself.

As I ‘assume’ whoever he’s partnered with for that podcast likely doesn’t have a real estate license, Eric wouldn’t be able to give him any commissions. This is exactly what happened with Pete. $500k+ came in and Eric was paying Pete $3k per month for advertising. Pete wanted part of the commission and Eric didn’t want that. So when the show picked up and Pete wanted more money to continue advertising, Eric balked and left. He kept the leads and they last around 2ish years. He created a competitor at the time called Magical Moves which never did much so he quit.

Further, with all the leads coming in, he was very reluctant to bring on other agents because he didn’t want to ‘give his money away’ but in doing so, he couldn’t provide good service. He finally brought in an agent and then mainly gave her difficult clients or people with low budgets. I understand the logic in this but it’s not something I personally did or would do. When I brought new agents in, I immediately gave them 3 leads off the bat, I worked them and let them shadow me and gave them the full commission split on them so they could get started with a leg up.

People can change and maybe he will do a better job this go around, but time will tell. Luckily as long as it’s quality and honest then it’ll do fine.

- Update…..I decided to fact check myself before I posted to see if I could get more info. In like 5 minutes of research - Eric left in March 2020. In 2021 he made 21 sales. Since Jan 2022 he’s has 3 total sales. (No judgement but just lets me know the well likely dried up and he’s needing new leads) and on his LinkedIn, he said he’s run ‘Magical Moves’ since 2017 which is clearly untrue because we all know he worked Moving to The Magic starting in 2018/2019 and didn’t have any group prior to that. Checking Magical Moves on Facebook it literally states it was created March 11 2020. Not sure what the point in lying about something that is so easy to fact check or trivial, but it’s in line with what I knew of him years ago.

I think he’ll get business. The show should do well at least for a while and I think he’s as good as most realtors, which I personally don’t think is a high bar after having met so many of them, but if the content is good and he provides a good service then it could likely go much better this time around and NT is a big name like the DIS was so the client base is there regardless.
Was Eric the guy who did the cooking/baking segments from DVC resorts?

Did anyone notice the Moving to Orlando YouTube was stripped of all branding and the videos were removed? Hopefully there was progress and the channel can move forward since the content was fun and informative.

Before Pete left the live show would get around 40-50k views a week. They are now getting around 20k views a week.

Everything is saying this is not working, yet they are sticking to the format. I really don't get it. Make a real change or move on to something else. DisUnlimited is is only.making all your resumes look worse.

Imagine trying to explain to a job interviewer how your Disney-based channel lost 30K viewers after the rapey host/boss was ousted.

The last show I watched a few weeks ago had all the upbeat spirit of a mandatory Zoom call with bored employees who had done absolutely no prep. It mirrored them so perfectly that when the host asked 'how is everyone!' there were shrugs & silence followed by a 'yep'. Who wants to watch that?
