The City / Whitney Port

I just came here after I saw her Insta story announcing it and then straight after promoting something she’s selling? (Tbf she does acknowledge that it’s jarring, one clip after the other).

I tried to find a video but can’t find on her YouTube channel, has she deleted it?

Oh nevermind I’ve found it; a clip in one of her Hills reaction videos.

I dont claim to know anything about her or her life anymore but is she ok? She used to have such effervescent bubbly energy and everything I’ve seen from her in the past few years has been so lacklustre (obviously not including this miscarriage clip as ofc she would be deflated in that).

she Doesn’t seem like the same person at all

I agree, she hasn’t really looked ‘well’ for a few years, she looked so much healthier with a little more weight on her to be honest. I also think she looked better blonder. That being said maybe it’s just age? She was late teens early twenties in the hills era and is well in her thirties now. How many of us could realistically say we look better at 35 than we did at 20.

I looked a state in my 20s 😂 I was scoffing doner kebabs all the time and drinking every night at uni 🤣 I truly do think now that I’ve learned to take care of my skin (a bit) and lost some puppy fat I am way better than the 20yo version of me.

she’s a natural beauty and does seem to have beautiful skin but she looks kind of hollow :(

First time commenting here but I think she has had a really hard time ever since her father passed almost a decade ago. But she talked about how she ate 1000 calories a day sometimes on The City which was before then so I think she's always had issues with food. That combined with what seems like Tim's controlling behaviour I think that she is just not happy. And she and Heidi both seem to be valuing having another baby over absolutely everything else. I think they both are unhealthy and Whitney especially needs to start eating more if she wants any chance of another successful pregnancy.

I’m watching their hills reaction videos. I worry for Whitney, like everyone else here. She’s very thin.

I also agree with everyone here that Timmy loves to be the center of attention. It’s so annoying. You can tell this is boring to them now, but they won’t stop because they make money from it. Why can’t they just get regular jobs?

Hate to say it but I can’t help but wonder if how thin she is is affecting her having a viable pregnancy :(

I wondered about that too. I’m not sure if underrating can actually cause a miscarriage. But It surely doesn’t help matters. Inhate to assume things, but there is stuff that makes me worry she still has issues with food. Before the pregnancy loss she posted on her insta stories about how nauseous she was, and that the only food she craved was “bad” food, meaning junk food and fast food. I responded saying she should eat whatever she is able to. Even if it’s “bad”. That something was better than nothing and that she should honor her cravings.

I hate to see her struggling and I hope she isn’t. Maybe it just looks that way. If she is, I hope she finds peace with it soon.

I had to stop watching their videos firstly because I cannot stand the way Timmy undermines and patronises her / their incessant need to make each video a couples therapy session in the name of being "real with you guys!!" and secondly as someone who has suffered with an ED for ten years it feels obvious to me that she is struggling somehow. I had to unfollow her instagram. Imo there are a lot of classic traits such as wearing baggy clothes and angling photos to make you look a little more healthy/less bony so people don't comment. It is a vicious cycle and whilst I have not been pregnant I could imagine it would play a part, when I was really thin my hair fell out, I was so weak, irritable and tired, I bruised like a peach and my immune system shut down. As frustrating and narcissistic I find them both I really hope she can get through this and is happy and healthy.

$45 for this 😐 (literally)

Is this font trying to be ironic or something? Wtf is that?

So, I reckon I'm going to get some dislikes for this but their comment section is clearly filtered so:
I really wish they'd taken a break before starting Laguna. I was kinda looking forward to it after the sh*tshow The Hills turned into but they're so low energy and still seem like they hate it.

I know that they've just been through (are going through in the vids?) a miscarriage so I'm not surprised they're not at their full energy but take a break so you can come back when you're feeling better. Literally everyone would understand them doing that. I wonder if they really need the money so badly that they can't not publish vids for a few weeks and I guess ad revenue is big in December. It seems like Whitney is being forced to be there and it's uncomfortable to watch.

Also yes, what is that merch?

this looks like the t shirts we used to get cheaply made up at uni for pub crawls :ROFLMAO: horrible and so cheap looking

I agree about taking a break, I think they realise that the time around xmas is too lucrative so they feel like they have to continue, which is sad and is the danger of being overly reliant on youtube really. I don't really egt the point of them doing Laguna tbh, she isn't involved in it so has nothing really to add as she has no behind the scenes insight

You're absolutely right, she has nothing to add I guess. I think I just wanted an excuse to rewatch it.

  • Haha
Reactions: emm

yeah it actually made me want to re watch the whole series, I am hoping they end up on netflix, so much less set up than the hills, I remember being so jealous of kerstin, although I totally don't ge tthe appeal of Stephen, he looks like a 10 year old child :ROFLMAO:

I like that they’re doing Laguna because I liked that show. But I agree they should’ve had a break and maybe come back in the new year. Or do some of their other style of videos if they want to cash in over Xmas.

I don’t mind that Whitney wasn’t in the show because I don’t get frustrated when she can’t remember anything 😂 Though it was annoying when she said Christina (or was it Alex?) was her housemate at Uni but didn’t offer any other info about that weird coincidence!

At the beginning of this year I absolutely loved watching the reaction videos and their vlogs - I even thought about buying some of the merch when it came out initially. I didn't in the end as the shipping to the UK was crazy and I couldn't justify it.

The reason I stopped watching/became less interested was the insane amount of ads in the 30 minute reaction videos and the way they responded to their customers that had issues with the merch. The responses were basically 'that's not our problem' - there was one woman who's top arrived with a hole in it and they were basically like 'sorry we can't do anything about it'. It just left a sour taste in my mouth - don't sell people merch if you're not able to provide a proper service to them if something goes wrong.

As the series went on, to me it did feel like they were treating it as an income which I thought became quite obvious and they have clearly become accustomed to the YouTube money so are milking it as long as they can.

I don't watch them anymore but I was really sad to hear about Whitney's miscarriage.
