Even if Manrika has won she has lost. 100k doesn't go that far these days and she wont get a high paying normal job now. If she plans on being an influencer then not many firms will want to ally their brand with someone the public perceive as a manipulative bully (look how quickly they drop celebrities to distance themselves due to negative press). By making herself the 'nasty nick' of the show she will have cost herself much more than 100k

Haha I’ll be shocked if she didn’t win. Looking at her insta around Christmas and her Mums birthday aswell she says this is the first year they won’t struggle and the first year she could spoil her rotten. Like others I really hope they do a viewers choice so atleast Hashu can get a little dollar
 
My friend sent Andy a message telling him how they are a big fan of him and know he can't say anything because of an NDA but sorry he didn't win.
...and Andy liked it. Which I may be taking and running with, but I took that as non contract breaking agreement that he didn't.
I personally think he's next out.

Well if they do have an NDA, surely Manrika saying things like hinting she won is breaking it, if she is actually hinting she won...
 
They are discussing whether Manrika won this series on Facebook as like us they have found old posts that could imply it. The general consensus seems to be that sometime last year, she was able to quit her job and do tic toc full time and she also got a modelling contract apparently. This is from people who followed her before the circle. Maybe that is what she’s on about in those videos. I’ve still got some hope that she doesn’t win! Come on Syed!

Agreed. I also think James has gone past caring because he did that live with Pandora and is already following some of the contestants.
Other contestants have said, they are not allowed to follow each other yet. (Tally and Hashu)
I think that James hated it so much that he is at the point of giving no shits.
He said on the live that he's not interested in anything to do with the circle, has deleted his twitter and is only keeping Instagram to support the launch of his coaching app.
 
👋🏻 Hello. I’ve been a Circle fan since S1 and have been semi lurking on these threads to see if everyone has been thinking the same as me. Glad I’m not alone! Really sad that it’s not as genuine as it once was.

Also very interested in how they cast. During episode 1 I looked at Manrika’s Instagram and remember seeing that she had done adverts previously (subway, teeth whitening etc) and had been chosen for a new BBC comedy show. Also does quite self inflating videos (the one I’m on about is circled in my attached screenshot - also could explain her videos on TikTok about how grateful she is etc and 🤞🏻 mean that she hasn’t won). So I knew she was probably chosen as she was already an “influencer”/soon to be famous.

Then I learnt about Hashu and Scott. I also think Tally may have been found on Instagram, but although I have never met her I am friends with one of her best friends (she’s part of quite a large #girlgang from her home town) and I believe she’s genuinely lovely from the stories I’ve heard through the years. All these girls are beautiful and look like Instagram models/post v glam pictures online; Tally had never done any ads before but I also don’t think she would have applied for a show like this (could be wrong) so maybe she was found on Instagram.

Are The Circle trawling TikTok/Instagram like Love Island now? Boring.

Alsoooo I think if Manrika meets “Felix” she will be all “oh I totally knew you were a girl, I was just using you as part of my game”. She would hate to look silly. (And I hope post-Circle she doesn’t end up with Hashu. 😟)

James said on his live a few days ago they they were all scouted on Social Media, his being Instagram and he said 1 person got through from the “public” auditions or something! Basically the public auditions are fake they scout who they want!

Edit: it’s probably why the cast isn’t that diverse they’re all typical but the book influencer types, this show has such a amazing opportunities to be diverse but they’re all playing straight “normal” people, there’s no one with any disabilities this season etc. And to me this is the perfect show to showcase more people from different walks of life!

“Dorothy” is quite well known in musical theatre as well so not surprised they were scouted.

This is all very interesting because I’ve followed Scott/Dorothy on Instagram for years as I’ve seen him in a few shows, and I remember him posting on his stories/Twitter last year a screenshot of his circle application. Not doubting at all that a lot of them are scouted just interesting the lengths they go to to cover that up and make it look legit

Unless he did apply and him being “well known” (in certain circles, I don’t know him) helped??

I wonder who the real applicant was. Billy seemed fairly normal? Haven’t check his social media out tbf.
