The guest dinner - melon balls, one slither of speck ham and where was the burrata or was it an imaginary one? - a beige main course trying to boost it up and make it look more by adding a salad in their 'engagement' present tureen, so still ration book portions - dessert ah, the good old staple, turd on a plate.

Sorry, looked more but looks are deceiving, still a piss take and not worth 75 smackers. Oh and Marie just bring in the food put it down and leave, all that waffling on and on. Better still type/write up a menu and put it on the table.

Wonder what the oldies were chowing down on out on the sinking terrace. Keeping Ratso out there with them (due to his gastritis?), does that mean he's normally in the dining room at the guest dinners?

It's rather an unanswerable question at the moment. When/if they take up the government they still have to go through Macron and he thinks it's unworkable or there is no accord he could, of course, take charge. It's written into the constitution. However, everyone in Europe felt nervous when Meloni became prime minister in Italy. Thought it would be too right wing hard line and so far, from the outside, all moves along well. @Spirit of place will have a better view of that.

Post brexit newcomers to France, and any other EU nation, have to jump through hoops to get residency. Those that have permanent residency according to the EU/Brexit d'accord should be OK. However I suspect, but don't know, that gaining nationality will become increasingly difficult if not impossible. Immigration is RN's hot topic.

Thank you, madam. I have been reading up a bit on it too, seems that dual passport holders may be a target.
If Stephanie Jarvis's residency is the UK for tax purposes and she is just a visitor to France to the shack with dual passports, things may change for her.
