For most people the options are not having a vacation vs their teeth but day to day needs vs their teeth and the former takes priority every time, especially if there are kids you must provide for. Years ago I worked with refugees who'd all gotten respectable entry level jobs and worked very hard at them. What I learned was that the working poor have a dental insurance system -- your kid falls down and breaks his teeth, you go out and sell a couple of pounds of marijuana. I hope they can afford dental insurance now that marijuana is legalized.

He's always talked about how he's helped his parents and uncle? I don't get how he talks like he's never painted before? White paint? Tint it a bit Ryan, I even tint door and baseboard paint.. stark white is.... well, ugly. He's got to be adhd, but he's not interested in reno's... adhd runs in this household, but we all love reno's so they get done no problem... cleaning up afterward on the otherhand... not so much :ROFLMAO:

A world away, at the time, I was watching an episode of the West Wing with my then partner (now husband). I got up during a break to make him a coffee and came back to see the WTC in flames. For the first minute or so, it didn't register that what I was watching was real - it seemed like part of the show. When it clicked with me, I said something stupid like 'what a terrible accident'. My partner looked at me and said, "That's no accident, that's terrorism." I couldn't believe it and said "How could you possibly know?" To which he replied, "I'm from Belfast, remember." Seconds later, the 2nd plane hit the tower and I burst into tears. My partner said "Oh tit, these fuckers will have more planes in the air." Next thing we knew it was reported a plane had hit the Pentagon. Our two closest friends, two US Marines worked there. Happily they had left the building not 15 minutes before. It took us a few anxious days to track them down and we cried together through a few phone calls. We've become even more close, both Marines standing up for us at our wedding, and we've spent every vacation together since then. As things happen and work got in the way, we had to cancel this year's vacation to the Moroccan city of Marrakesh. We would have been in the Medina together three days ago.

Note for Aussie Tattlers: Ian Thorpe was in NYC that day. He was on his way to the WTC and would have been inside one of the towers at the time the planes crashed. Half way there, he turned back to return to his hotel because he'd forgotten his camera.

i dont get a flower arranger who can‘t seem to name more than a dozen types of flowers, knows nothing of garden design or landscaping, grows nothing and doesn't work at all in the garden.

There are tons of online ladscaping and horticultural courses…some very good ones in fact that teach you about flowers…why not add to your skills?

i would never hire Marie for a special occasion…she might not turn up, she might be crying about her life, she might quit or move back home at the drop off a hat.

also…a previously wrote a post where i said CD was as dull as dishwasher…but meant dishwater.

I think her objections in the past were that she was only a volunteer and not paid. I think she came back this time seeking pay. She’d probably be happy to stay with a pittance as long as she is payed. All the others were in the payroll from the beginning and I’ll bet it caused some sore feelin

I think the main issue for Marie is that there is a vast difference between arranging flowers and selling flowers.

I was standing in my kitchen watching the Today show. I had a doctors appointment later and was lingering at home. I saw the building on fire and they said it was a plane. I kept thinking about how that couldn’t have happened and that the air traffic system must have broken (it was/is old technology). I started worrying that the whole thing was broken and there were going to be tons of crashes. Then the second plane hit the building while I was watching. I still kept thinking it was guiding pilots into the building, but I was going thru all these scenarios and I kept thinking the pilot wouldn’t just do it. They’d disobey. Then I heard about the Pentagon and I knew we were under attack. I didn’t think they were doing it manually. I thought it was computer driven. Who knew we were so vulnerable.

I don’t think I moved from in front of the tv for days apart from work. I had to go to Philly for an annual conference less than two weeks after this happened. There were armed National Guardsmen at the airports. I was scared shitless to fly. Everything went fine. Lines were so long. While we were there the city was very quiet. We were the first convention group since the attacks and I tipped everyone heavily because I knew they weren’t making money. One of our sessions included the first public remarks from Norm Mineta, US Transportation Secretary. He spoke for over an hour about everything he had to do that day. He was in charge of planes, trains, roadways, airports. He said his first priority was to get all planes down and account for them. He also had to scramble military jets to accompany any planes in significant airspace and had authorization to shoot them down if they didn’t respond appropriately. He was also involved with response to the collapse of the WTC and the train station underneath. He was so impressive. We are lucky he was the Secretary on that day. It was chilling to listen to his recounting of the day.

Ironically, when our group went to leave to fly home, I left my wallet on the sofa in the lobby of our hotel (Marriott downtown). We were in the cab and the cabbie (Russian dude), asked if any of us left a package at the hotel. I looked in my purse and my wallet was gone. OMG. All I knew was they were not going to let me on a plane without ID and I was SCREWED. I’d have to walk home.

Well, you wouldn’t believe it, but those cabbies coordinated and brought me my wallet at the curb at the Delta counter! The staff at the hotel had arranged it all! Delta also changed our flight because we didn’t have enough time to make it through the two hour security line. Talk about the “City of Brotherly Love”. I will always love Philly for various reasons, but that right there was epic.

Those are my two main memories about 9/11. I wasn’t personally impacted. I didn’t lose anyone. I was devastated for those we lost and their families and the rescuers. I was angry. I wanted Justice. I wanted the world to go back to the way it was before.

I know dental care is expensive, but there is also proper cleaning, flossing and regular care. Of course there are those with "bad teeth" or soft teeth or cavity prone. My dentist/friend said that if more people brushed after every meal and flossed multiple times a day and used a fluoride mouthwash, avoided smoking and super sugary drinks/foods, he would be out of business. That said I follow his advice and have not seen him in years- last xrays everything was fine.

I go to the dental hygienist every 3 months for a clean. I clean my teeth several times a day and floss. One of my good friends has a husband who has plaque build up half way up the front of his teeth it is gross and must feel so horrid.

That's exactly what happened for last week's gift grab, it was just Fanny in front of the camera, opening gifts on her own, and Snorty behind the camera. That's a taste of things to come. That's how they will end up. She may have to resort to begging B & B strangers to act even more in the soaps! I only hope they will get paid for their participation or, at least, receive a discount for the B and B. She's earning a lot from YT and yet the other cast members get nothing for taking part. She and Snorty can't even edit a vlog properly and are frequently late in rolling out vlogs. No one would get away with that in any other job and she sees it as her "work".

Aha, after several long days and nights of intensive searching I was just about to post that the intrigue took place in my down-to-the-very-paneled-room-guess of the one-of-a-kind Tower Library at the Chateau de Puy-Vidal--- when she beat me to it and posted the name of the chateau. Kidding aside, the Chateau is an extraordinary beauty. I’d say that Stephanie was the perfect choice as a life model for the owners’ September art Retreat to the Chateau. Definitely looking forward to more colorful details from Stephanie coming soon.


But God bless Samantha Watson for keeping Fanny's feet to the fire.....

I’m confused.

Patreon vid last Wednesday did the “guess where we are?”

The following night was a Thursday CD , which was SJ’s appearance on tv and miscellaneous Lalande fill.

Sunday CD was the unveiling of the Big Brother sewing machine and miscellaneous Lalande fill.

Not that it matters - just adds more scope for her to fiddle with timelines about when she’s physically at Lalande - but which Sunday and Thursday is she talking about?

I sent you the chicken xylophones years ago, and the instructions didn't make it. I've contacted everyone I know there— to tell you how to make them work (by literally drawing faux insects/or simple circles on the keys using a permanent marker) — It will easily be the funniest thing you've ever seen when the chickens literally peck the keys. I've contacted you several times via Instagram (and got a heart) when mentioning this, but still never happened.

Stephanie I know you are planning on cancelling Cadeaux at the end of the year. I can not tell you how disappointing this is. Thank you for this post - I was confused, as well! I don't really understand or know what she thinks she messed up vlog or Patreon-wise, but if she'd not said a word, no one would have known.

It's always the same, formulaic vlog - wakes up, shows us the view out the window, "waddles" around seeing what other people are working on (on her behalf) - and this is a brief segment, since there's no work being done at all, showcases Philip setting the table, oohing and aahing over the fact that Philip did anything at all that day, shows a napkin ring, shows Maria's dinner and showcases that as if Maria were some Michelin starred chef and that Lalande is some classy joint (it's not), thanks Patrons.

There are about four projects that Gerry, Philip, Stephanie, and Amaury have been working on that we will see soon. Channel 4 TV has to show the projects first. They also put in the heating system this year and wallpapered and painted in the B&B. Amaury is doing the fence, the utility room of the kitchen, the Grand Salon, and several bedrooms this fall. I know it is hard to be patient.

I take my hat off to Anna Lagorce. Her flowers - which are pretty large scale - are leagues ahead of Marie. Anna is self-taught and really understands working with flowers and accommodating brides’ wishes, which are not always the same style. Not every bride wants relaxed, airy-fairy, boho. Marie is embedded in one style and I suspect she would try to impose that style on a prospective client.
