After a bit of googling, I found this from the Evening Standard - from September 2003. I’m not sure if it a serialisation from a book?

The former Posh Spice has a paranoid streak - one she has even been known to turn on her husband, with extraordinary physical violence.

When she was pregnant with Brooklyn, for example, one tabloid newspaper ran a story about a girl claiming she had a relationship with Beckham before he met the Spice Girl.

Posh went berserk, screaming, shouting and swearing.

'You don't realise what you've done,' she yelled into her mobile phone when he called her at 10pm from the team hotel where Manchester United were staying before a match at Southampton.

'I can hardly remember the girl,' he told her. 'Please, Victoria, you must believe me.'

She didn't reply, but just punched the off button on her mobile phone and threw herself weeping on to her bed at her parents' house in Goffs Oak, Hertfordshire.

At 2.30am, Beckham arrived at the house, desperate to see her. 'I'm not
going anywhere, Victoria,' he said quietly. 'We have to talk about this.'

And they did, through the night, until the driver who'd brought him insisted the footballer leave so that he could get back to the team hotel before Ferguson found out that he'd disappeared for the night.

That morning, a different tabloid carried a story that Beckham had kissed another girl while Posh was on the SpiceWorld tour of the U.S. - and that the girl had squeezed his bottom. If the future Mrs Beckham was angry before, now she was furious. She rang David on his mobile phone and they talked before the match, at half-time and afterwards.

Throughout, Beckham insisted that they would talk about it when he got back to Goffs Oak that night.

By that time, however, Victoria wasn't in the mood for talking. The moment her future husband walked into the Adams' home, she punched him in the face three times - so hard that she cut the inside of his mouth. With blood dripping down his chin, he all but burst into tears.

Again they talked for most of the night, as Beckham once again tried to reassure his wife that there was no truth in the story, while she wept.

Nevertheless, the next morning, with the paparazzi at the door, the ever resilient, not to say clearsighted, Posh emerged smiling, hand in hand with her future husband - and as he got into the car she gave his bottom a squeeze.

'No chance this lot will get the irony, but it's doing me good,' she thought to herself. In the days that followed, she asked him over and over when they were alone: 'Swear on my life it's not true.'

They even took a brief trip to Lake Como in Italy to try to heal the rift. But her paranoia was working overtime. 'It got so bad that one night David said he felt like killing himself,' she said.

Finally, common sense and her husband's innate honesty prevailed and the pregnant Victoria admitted that her 'hormones were all over the place'. But the episode reveals the particular intensity of their relationship, one that was bred in a pressure cooker of publicity.

We both posted that at pretty much the same time 😁
I always thought that this girl is the mother of David's first daughter, allegedly she was born in '98 meaning she was probably conceived in '97, just when he first met vic. The story that david has 4 more kids have always been around, does anyone know anything on that?

The only thing that makes me doubt these stories are real is that if the girl is 21, she would have spoken already, I mean it makes sense that the mothers of those kids have signed nondisclosure contracts back when they got pregnant, but once the kids are 18 they could talk to the media, so I'm wondering why this girl hasn't spoke about it yet, there are two options

a) it is just a gossip
b) david has a good relationship with his "secret" kids, hence they don't expose him because they love him.

But again, would you love a father who's hiding you, but its extremely public with the other kids?

Money for doing duck all, VB just couldn't be arsed and she got paid for it, criminal.

Sounds like nonsense speculation to me. The tour didn’t result in their songs suddenly being played all over the radio again or a massive surge in album sales. I also doubt she owns much of the business, it will be like the Jessica Alba one where she’s a figurehead with maybe 1 or 2% and the actual business is a tax write off for a couple of rich men in fashion

I haven't read the actual story but when I saw the headline I thought it smacked of a bit of positive PR spinning. We're in the middle of lockdown, there's riots and the world is going to tit yet this story is on the front page. Whaaaat 🤦🏻‍♀️

I would love to know what the reason for stopping the tour when they did was. With the costs of staging, promoting, and hiring a big arena production being often 95% of the ticket price, their only chance of megabucks was doing 100+ dates worldwide. They’ve certainly all had to keep on working over the years havent they. Three albums and a five year career probably doesn’t create enough wealth for a lifetime when you don’t write or own the songs

Why did they continuously need to be in the papers come up with ridiculous articles like David parked his car outside a shop! Victoria Wears leggings and does exercise! Their very average brood of kids are clapping the NHS !

they are mega millionaires, I just don’t understand why they don’t stay out of the limelight and go and enjoy their life! It’s like they’re wannabes, so cringe.

I've always felt the opposite in a way that because of his looks, people downplay his Football.

He was great during his peak - but I think he did burn out relatively young. Similar to Rooney in that respect.

Beckham had a lot of clashes with Ferguson. I remember when he shy’d off sick from training - and was then papped out shopping with Posh. Was that when he was photographed in a sarong? Apparently, Ferguson was livid. I think the episode, when Ferguson threw a football boot at his head - was another occasion.

oh the sarong :ROFLMAO: Yup Fergie isnt the kind of Man to let players get away with behavior like that. He also made Becks shave off his Mohawk in the dressing room once he'd seen it

David Beckham took the absolute piss and then when Fergie threw the boot at him the first thing he did was borrow one of Posh's headbands and arranged a pap shot, showing off his wound. I'm amazed Fergie didn't get rid sooner.

It still fascinates me how in that documentary about their move to Spain, they speak openly about how they'd just decided to become brand Beckham. It came just after the Loos scandal so it was clearly a conscious decision to stay together and become as famous and wealthy as possible. I'd love to know if it was worth it 🙄

I don’t think David was a ‘great player’. He was slow, he couldn’t get past anyone but could cross the ball with accuracy. I don’t think he had amazing ‘vision’ either but could pass to someone in the box (probably well rehearsed). Great players lift a team but he didn’t manage it past Man United. He was there due to his dead ball skills, which shows a great work ethic in his earlier days and explains his caps for England.

unfortunately none of his children share his worth ethic.
