I think Sinead is the only one confused about the use of #ad.

'New' rule, Sinead? It's been the rule since the current social media advertising rules came in over a year ago now. You just chose to ignore it until now And as already said above, no space between # and ad.

Also, how can she say this isn't an #ad?! She has a commercial relationship with the company, it was a paid reel, and she's sharing a discount code - it doesn't take a genius to check the simple ASAI flowchart and see that this qualifies as an ad on MANY points.

Attaching the ASAI flow chart here, so poor old Sinead can save it to her phone when she next reads here She obviously can't find it herself since she's still struggling with the advertising rules over a year after they were introduced

Yep, have assumed it was this too. No other reason makes sense. All these influencers go to such lengths to not tag properly that affecting their reach and therefore affecting them financially has to be the reason.
