I absolutely LOVE autumn. It helps my birthday is at the beginning of October 😉🍂🥮🎑🍂 I think there is something magical about the start of the season. I have fond memories of buying all my new stationary ready for school, and that fresh "new beginning" feeling you get when the kids are off in crisp new uniforms, or you are excited to start a new course. The sun is mostly still shining and there's a slice of cold in the air every morning. The trees are starting to turn and it just looks beautiful. A traditional September/October is when the UK is it's most beautiful IMO.

I'm a bit sad that for many, bonfire night isn't what it used to be thanks to some idiots ruining it. I've got amazing memories of my dad lighting a big fire, making a "guy" to put on it, having sparklers and fireworks. Learning about guy fawkes in school and doing colourings of firework explosions, and having burgers and jacket potates on the night itself. These days we just go to a display.

Halloween doesn't need any explanation 🎃👻 I still decorate my house to the max and take my youngest trick or treating. Deffo promising myself a halloween party this year! 🧙🏻‍♀️🧹

Yes I also need some Autumn candles.
You can never have enough autumnal candles!

I actually had 3 candles lit in the living room yesterday as it was cold and pouring with rain for most of the day! Felt very much more like autumn than it did summer, so the candles had to come out! 😅

I do love Yankees but I only buy them on sale now - I cannot bring myself to pay £30 for a large jar!

Sometimes the Yankee Candle shop have offers on the candles.

If I buy them, it's usually from candles direct. They used to have a massive selection, and lots of different brands, but it's dwindled down in recent years - still good for a bargain though! There's a few large Christmas Yankees on sale for £14.99 if anyone was looking to put some away for gifts/themselves 😅

I also really like the DW Home candles. I've heard mixed reviews online about them, but all I've the candles I've bought, have been great

Yes I've bought DW Home candles from TK Maxx/Homesense and they have been fine.

It's cold and rainy for the rest of the night, so the jumpers are on and the candles are lit again 😅
I've currently got a DW Home mulled cider, Christmas eve by Yankee and a mystery votive - I think it might be the pink Christmas cookie one, snowflake cookie?

Apparently I have skipped autumn and am in full Christmas mode already 🙃

We currently have a Christmas candle lit because I completely ran out and it’s all we had in the cupboard 😂🎄 I do love Summer (and Autumn) but I’m not even mad about it 😂
