I only caught a few of the ‘you’re fired’ shows this time but I noticed it’s been really stripped back. I am sure they used to do more with the candidate, and more segments like ‘harsh but fair’ and a bit from Shugs about why he fired them. It’s so bland now.

Some of the men had some lairy suits, and tight waistcoats.

I think the BBC told them to try and stand out as much as possible.

So Marnie is using the name she already had before she entered the competition, just shows how pointless the final "launch" is and that it's just another branding task that they're hoping gets some laughs.

Haven't checked if Rochelle has a big blimp outside her salon.

I'm sure I've seen a previous contestant say their outfits are picked out for them. Or at least they have a few options to choose from so I don't think it's their fault they have been looking like flippin skittles this year. I noticed last year, there were one or two of the girls who always wore the exact same dress but just in different colours for various episodes.

So the show is now basically like another advert for crappy clothes brands, like Love Island but slightly low key. They pick young, good looking but thick contestants, put them in cheapo blazer dresses, then the contestants advertise them afterwards on social media.

Yes, I remember us all moaning about the matching colour block dresses in previous series! They were very behind the times in terms of business wear.

I must say I enjoyed them wearing some more modern/diverse outfits this series (although totally agree about the v short dresses/skirts being impractical!)
