That's what I thought too though it seems a bit extreme to leave just in case lol. But I guess it would be quite embarrassing to be fired cause you can't count

You can get 6 itsu bao buns for £3.95 in Asda so that should give you an idea of how ridiculously expensive they were

I always think this in the food tasks. Like do those gullible idiots in Spitalfields market not go to Chinatown? You can get bao buns for about £2 last time I went, made in a proper Chinese bakery, not by morons!

They are £6.50 each in Bao restaurant (well it's just a little shop with some chairs really) in Soho, which is probably the definitive Bao eatery in London.

Search Insta for #baosoho and you'll see that they're a lot nicer looking than what was on the Alan Sugar's Muppets Show.

Exactly. And also the real thing is prepared with some knowledge of food safety and not making the customers too ill or too dead to ever come back again. I mean I am sure the Apprentice has some people behind the camera checking things are technically safe at all times but even so, I question the general public in places like Greenwich Market merrily buying food products from a bunch of haphazard clowns, who importantly won't be there the next day so haven't got a reputation to care about.

I got some of these, 800 calories per 2 buns! As shocking as the prices the clowns were charging on the task!

I can understand the Internet/phones incase they leaked anything during the series, but TV and newspapers being banned is just strange

Proper bao buns are lovely, the bun is all light and fluffy and the filling is usually full of flavour.
