So it wasn't all roses then

I feel like it's not that helpful to other new mums to keep schtum about it the whole time you're actually struggling, and only referencing it after the fact...! Especially if they were going through it at the same time as you.
And especially when she was banging about how awesome everything was and aff linking left, right and centre. It's one thing to acknowledge the struggles and say you felt the urge to pretend to be happy because that's what society pushes onto women and another to actively co-create and profit from this unattainable idea -- Anna might be a crap influencer but there are still people who do follow her and believe everything she say -- not to mention her talking like one of the ordinary mums and being far from it.

I think I said it a year ago when she was posting her 5 a.m. pilates rubbish, but you can't have your cake and it eat it all -- it's either selling an illusion or keeping it, moderately, real. (Not in Pebble's way, lol.) Anna wants both, depending on what products she's about to shill.

Agree! It also reinforces the narrative that you should just get on with things and only share once things are over or better.

As a fellow sufferer of psoriasis, I have to at least give her credit for not photoshopping those marks away. It's often painful and is an incurable skin complaint. Thankfully mine is not that bad but those marks stay for months even when the plaques have gone.
Can it be brought on by stress. I’m only familiar with eczema in my family.

It's an auto immune system malfunction where skin cells multiply faster than they should hence the patches of dry skin. I don't find it gets worse with stress but it's one of those annoying issues that has a myriad of potential causes, diet being one. UVB lamps are a treatment. If you have a severe case you can go to hospital for 5 mins of super strong UV lamp treatment four times a week but that is for people that have severe cases. Have you seen The Singing Detective!

It's hereditary to an extent as well. My uncle has had it all his life but mine started much later. His brother (my Dad) not at all. Steroid cream (looks like Vaseline) treatment is the usual course but it thins the skin.

Oh yes, I remember The Singing Detective! X
