Most high paying office jobs in London, like the one Mark used to have, are permanently work from home with optional coming into the office 2-4 times a month now (thanks, panini!). So he'd be able to have a pretty good work/life balance, but also bring in £40-60k a year of his own money. So I do understand why Mark isn’t slaving away at some office in London, making long hours and having a long commute. You work to live, not the other way around.
I don’t think that was the case when he quit his job? But yes, things have changed now. Most high paying office jobs in London, like the one Mark used to have, are permanently work from home with optional coming into the office 2-4 times a month now (thanks, panini!). But also, I sometimes get the impression the influencer women want their boyfriends/husbands around all the time. The reason most influencer’s boyfriends work for the influencer’s company, is so they can freely travel without worrying about HR/ holidays. Who wants to be in a grey London office, when you can be teetering on a cliff edge in santorini getting the perfect shot of your missus looking at the sea so she can post it “days like these”
I agree and sometimes I wonder why that is, maybe because they see them as content and cheap photographers? I couldn't imagine having my boyfriend around 24/7, as much as I like him, it wouldn't end well. Sure, Anna has a big house but if the only human I'd see day in day out was my partner, I'd explode???But also, I sometimes get the impression the influencer women want their boyfriends/husbands around all the time.
I travel a lot for work (pre-pandemic) and I like going by myself and not having to worry about my partner while going to meetings and events.
I’d just get annoyed that we both had the exact same day every day. Minus a spinning class.I agree and sometimes I wonder why that is, maybe because they see them as content and cheap photographers? Nanna and Grandmark gets my vote for next thread title! They remind me of certain family members of mine. Codependent, complacent and boring. They live in the very tiny universe of Nanna and Grandmark, worshipping Prince Messiah Mark Jr. Newton and their oatmeal socks in sandals wardrobe.
Nah December 1st, they get way more money in decWhat do we think? Big return tomorrow or next Sunday at 6pm with a “We’re back!” video?
