Taylor’s parents were both in tennis as was his uncle. His great-great-grandfather was founder of a big store before it merged with Macy’s. As for net worth I’ve read between 3-5$ million.

I think I overheard something on one of the commentaries about how her parents ‘own’ several tennis tournaments.

Fair play to her, to come from such wealth and yet still put in the hard yards to train to the degree as she must have done to be as good as she is. I really enjoyed watching her.

Damn, I thought Draper had it lucky with his dad being the ex CEO of the LTA. These parents could build courts of every surface just in their back gardens for fun

Yes it's certainly a huge advantage if your parents are wealthy. Murray and Evans both come from working class families. Pegula and Navarro will have had the best facilities, courts in their garden, and top coaching from a very young age.

I’d recommend taking more food than you might think, I got a sandwich and sausage roll from the Greggs before, plus took a few little snacks and biscuits but it was 8 hours so I was starving by the end of it. Could have done with an extra sandwich.

Not sure I like any of the men playing Centre court today, but will obviously root for Rune and Fritz. Expecting the worst though, as always.
I see more and more people rooting for Zverev, saying he finally deserves to win a slam etc. What? Are grand slams wins just handed out based on who waited long enough??
