I’ve been rewatching the series today, I must have lived under a rock the whole time I’ve been here, I didn’t realise Charlie was in Doncaster! I used to date a rugby player who played for Doncaster, and when I used to go get my leg over on a weekend and watch his matches I used to feel like I was in a deprived area compared to my home town

It is a dump! There are a few areas with a fair bit of money though, one of the main roads into it has some HUGE housea.

The only thing I thought when visiting doncaster was some peoples driving was absolutely horrendous. I wouldn’t call it a dump either, there are some lovely houses.. have yall seen the ones near yorkshire wildlife park?? Insane!!!

Sorry, dump was a bit harsh, it was when I was a kid but it does seem to have had some decent regeneration in recent years

The only areas I ever saw were Bentley/ Askern area as had to drive through. I remember us going to the dog racing one night and I was wearing heels thinking it was going to be like the horse racing and there was mud everywhere, I could have cried

Definitely, I listened to people say it was a dump and moved away ASAP, I soon realised the beauty of the place and moved back. There are some lovely locations but everywhere has their bad/rough spots. Charlie doesn’t live in the best spot, but her home is well kept, clean and tidy and they’re always walking around lakeside which is a lovely area.
