I think it's possible she picked it up over a longer period of time, it's easier to not notice £20 going missing than it is £200. Also Mia does seem a bit ditzy tbh, she may have noticed the notes were missing but assumed she had spent it or lost it/moved it. If I was her I would have still asked my child where it came from as you want to be sure she hasn't stolen it from someone else.

All the notes were fresh, like they’d come out at a cash point so I doubt this was money that she had just found over time
