I personally can spot a rat a mile off. I think it’s the other way around and Ste is abusive and manipulative, twists it round to make amber look the issue. No wonder she didn’t want him at her house was Hudson was newborn

Yep and his fixation on having Hudson overnight. Even if Hudson was formula fed from the off and they went through a formal custody agreement, overnight stay at the father's house wouldn't be granted for such a tiny baby - they need to be close to their primary caregiver. So it's unthinkable for a breastfed baby.

If he was wonderdad and his first concern was the two boys, he'd put his own selfish need for validation right at the bottom of the list.

MTV have really done Amber a disservice by how they've portrayed her and She's realtionship over the years. The episode with the breastfeeding comments tipped me over the edge, I actually wrote to MTV and told them how irresponsible it was that they didn't explicitly say that Ste was beyond unreasonable about that.

I hate it too you can't have an opinion half the time but sometimes entertaining. I never comment now. I'm sure one of them was on here a few threads back. We were talking about it and I said why is one of them allowed to do raffles on there when it's a teen mom page. Someone replied to me saying because she happens to be admin I was like oh ok then sorry not sure if they were being snappy tbf but felt like I had my head bit off

I'm only 28 and have been taking so many different medications for over 10 years so It can happen but knowing Megan it's all over the counter vitamins and she's trying to get sympathy.

I don't really get all the praise for Amber. She is so manipulative and only wants Ste when he's happy with someone else.

I don't think he's a Saint, hes vile but so is she. They're both as bad as each other and I hope for the kids sake they never get back together.

She doesn't want to share the kids with Ste even though he's the dad and I honestly think she used breastfeeding as a way not to let him have Hudson.

I honestly think the last bit to your message is so wrong to say, that’s why so many mothers don’t want to breastfeed, one being myself. ‘So it stops the dad taking the child’ . Amber should be able to breastfeed if she wants and I think it’s great she chosen that path. I don’t think Steve was supportive towards her breastfeeding and he made it look like she was stopping him from seeing him but the end episode amber mentioned she has stopped breastfeeding then and she was happy for him to start having the baby over night so if it was the case if she was using it as an excuse, wouldn’t she have still made up some sort of an excuse for him not to have the baby when she stopped breastfeeding.
I genuinely just think the girl wanted to breastfeed exclusively and Steve made it hard for her making her feel crap about it

I don't think its wrong to say. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and from what I observed I came to that conclusion.

Ste is horrible but Amber uses those kids as weapons. You don't have to like what I said but it's my opinion and I won't change it.

Breastfeeding is far too much hard work to do just to spite someone! What an awful thing to say. Ste has always seen Brooklyn reguarly so I don't understand where you've got the impression she "doesn't want to share" the kids.

Ste was allowed to go to her house freely to visit Hudson, and as another poster mentioned, Hudson had overnight stays as soon as she stopped BF. He's not a new toy she didn't want to share, he was her tiny newborn baby that she wanted to give the best care that she could, which involves not sending him to stay overnight at his dad's house without her breast for comfort

You're allowed to share your opinion, and I am allowed to share my opinion that your opinion is awful.

Breastfed or not, a newborn baby has only ever known its mother. They seek comfort from their mother because their heartbeat is familiar to them. Their mother’s smell comforts them. Yes a father should see their newborn baby as often as possible, and form a bond with them, but to take the newborn away from their mother at such an early age will unsettle them. I think it was great that she was able to BF (I unfortunately wasn’t able). You can see that Amber was struggling but she still continued to BF for Hudson, not for herself.

Do you know what? I had a similar (ish) opinion that perhaps amber was using breastfeeding as a chance to control the situation i.e keeping Ste at arms length to save the agg, not having him around whinging about how he wants the family unit .... I then took a massive step back and thought it’s a bleeping reality tv show. Of course she’s not going to be breastfeeding, whilst seriously ill, just to get one up on POOR OLDDDDD STE. I think with Amber, what you see is what you get. We only see a small part of their lives. How do we know Ste is a fantastic father? We see him doing what any father should do and that is play a role in his kids life. Do I think she trapped him in lot having another baby.. yes. But he’s an idiot for having unprotected sex with their relationship as volatile as it is. The kids live with Amber, she provides a majority of their care (I assume) and it’s absolutely her choice to make as to whether she breast fed the baby or whether the baby should go to Ste’s!!

I didn't realise at the time but when I think back, thats exactly what I was like, because as soon as I got a vibe that he was angry about something my anxiety shot up and resulted in me shouting and getting near-frantic just as we saw from Amber, becauae i knew what was coming. I could be way off - though we know Ste is abusive - just talking from what I see and things I may be able to relate too. Like I said. I know Amber isn't all sunshine and roses, and she does appear to taunt him/intentionally hurt him at times, but I don't think it's as cut and dry as MTV makes it appear.

And my opinion is disagreeing with one part of your message. I don’t condole some of her actions on the show but one thing I’ve never thought is the fact she uses her kids as weapons towards Steve, he clearly has the boys a lot.
I just think its unfair to say she used breasfeeding as an excuse for Ste not to see Hudson.

I definitely think ambers had a bad cut from the show and Stes had the opposite, but like someone else stated, I think you see what you get with her. The episode when she made up a fake boyfriend, as much as that was childish and stupid, I did find it very funny and she had balls to even admit that knowing thousands and thousands of people will be watching and judging that.
