Does anyone else find it weird how Marliya does all these things when Mia is asleep? My eyes are wide open the second My daughter moves from her bed.. surely she can’t be that much of a heavy sleeper 😂
It might be that Marliya is naturally a child who entertains herself. I have a child similar age and if she doesn't wake me in the morning then I wouldn't know she's awake until she's turned on the TV or making some sort of other noise. Seems plausible that Marliya is used to playing by herself while in Mia's care as she hasn't got her sister nearby and Mia doesn't seem to hold playdates/sleepovers unless it's adult friends of hers

I don’t follow mia but if she’s not able to wake up when marliya is up and about isn’t that a bit irresponsible and risky? I never let mine roam the house that young or is she just in her room?

I would say it’s risky and I don’t even have kids. I think Marliya is a good kid so I don’t think she’d do anything wild but anything could happen. I think she’s either staying in her room and entertaining herself or watching telly. I’m sure she knows basic house safety rules like not opening the front door, touching things in the kitchen, etc.

Yeah that’s what I thought like freak accidents can happen etc

Was originally going to say that it's not really anything to worry about, but then I remembered my mum was in bed when I was little and wanted to bring her a cup of tea. I then tipped the boiling hot water in the kettle over my hand and had to go to A+E.

I clearly remember being a child probably about 4 or 5 and I was walking up the stairs, my parents were in bed (not asleep tho) and as I walked up the stairs i I put a 2p coin in my mouth and inhaled it almost into my windpipe. I coughed like my life depended on it and it flew out. And I’m of the generation where we never had seat belts in cars unless you were well off 🤣 I wasn’t anywhere near as anal with my 20 year old as people are now, but it just doesn’t sit right with me. Some kids are very smart but I’m sure that’s what parents whos kids have been in tragic accidents have thought

Marliya is more of a friend and an accessory to her in my opinion

And it may be fun now but it can backfire massively as the child gets older. It can create a lack of respect for the parent because they aren’t seen as an authority figure.

*Not saying Marliya will be like this. I’m just basing this off things I’ve seen growing up with friends that had the ‘cool parent’ and lots of Dr. Phil 😂
