I can understand forgetting, I do think something was a bit off though. Charlie said he dropped her off at asda to get it whilst she did her food shop, at some point within the next few weeks you'd think either she would have realised she didn't take it and mentioned it to him, or he would have brought it up, even just a simple 'did you get the pill earlier?' when he took her home from the shop. I know my husband would have, and I'm pretty certain I wouldn't have completely forgotten about it for weeks if I genuinely didn't want to have a baby. The whole thing was a bit weird tbh 🤷‍♀️

That’s what I mean surely he would of reminded her or asked if she had trouble getting it. Unless she was planning on getting it after doing the food shop she might of genuinely forgot or Theodore was being a pain and she just wanted the food shop done and forgot about. She might of even had her period a week or two later and thought she was gonna be alright and not need the morning after pill. I do think she comes across as dozy and genuinely forgot and I think Charlie is a guy that’ll probably go round saying a condom doesn’t fit or he’ll pull out if a girl isn’t on contraception

I do hear you and I certainly wouldn’t let Charlie off the hook: he was horrible to Shannon and he should absolutely have taken WAY more responsibility if he didn’t want another kid. If he knew she wasn’t on the pill like she said, it’s as much his fault as hers 🤷🏼‍♀️ I just genuinely feel in my gut that Shannon made a decision not to get the pill and take her chances because she wanted a baby. She behaved really sketchy around the issue and if she was genuinely feeling like she wasn’t in a place for another baby, her mind would be focused on going to get it even more if Theo was stressing her out!
it takes two to tango and the whole situ was just as much Charlie’s fault, but I just do not think she was completely honest about forgetting. I think she convinced herself she could ‘forget’ and take her chances to get her second baby and maybe cement their family. I think you’re right that she is a bit dozy, but she’s not an idiot and she knew what the consequences could very well be.

I literally just rewatched this episode and to be quite honest, I think she’s lying through her teeth. I don’t like to say that without reason, but she was pushing him SO hard to have another baby a short time before and when he said he didn’t want one, I think she orchestrated a little accident to make sure she had two kids by the same dad. You do NOT forget to take the morning after pill if you really don’t want a child.

Yeah I have to agree, I do not like Charlie, but you have days to take the morning after.

I’ve noticed this and this is a direct result of being around scum bags like Manley and his family, it’s a coping mechanism. All any of them did was put her down on the show and I can imagine it was a lot worse off camera she was so young as well it’s actually heart breaking the way she was emotionally abused.
 
Mia honestly has more class in her little finger than that whole family. I really think it shows being kind and calm how she is that she is so over it.. rather than him name calling trying to convince people he hates her 😴

Also how can he have the cheek about respect when hasn’t he got Erin pregnant TWICE since him and Mia split up? And apparently she is now pregnant for a third time. It’s none of his business what Mia does...

I hope there’s some way to get Mia back on teen mum 😒
 
See I can understand where Mia is coming from, my. Ex baby daddy is very fiery and would kick off at the smallest things. He was controlling like Manley too, it was watching teen mum when I realised this is what my ex was like and I needed to get out. I met someone 4 weeks after we broke up. Wasn’t going out looking for anyone either just met them and hit it off. 2 years later happier and still together. But it is horrible because he’s throw every insult at me all the time. It was horrible.
 
Sorry to continue the morning after pill saga but I’m not sure the point has been made that some of the tablets are actually effective upto 72 hours aren’t they? At least the one I have taken was, that was a fair few years ago though so not sure about them now. So, in theory, even if she did forget the first day, she still had 48 hours to get one. Even though less effective, it would still have a chance at working. But, morning after pills only work if you haven’t already ovulated (I think, I don’t remember the exact science behind it.) so you can still fall pregnant after taking one anyway.

I don’t like to say she trapped him either because sometimes your head is absolutely scrambled as a mum, but i’m wondering at what point she realised she had forgot? Because there was realistically a 3 day window she could’ve gone to the pharmacy or rang the GP. Either way, both their children are absolutely beautiful and I’m sure Shannon is a fantastic mum.

I think we can agree the second baby wasn’t a “surprise”. My take on it is that Shannon thought by having a second, Charlie would commit to her more (they were so up and down) but I think it backfired as he felt trapped.

The thing is they are SO young. I do think sometimes the boys in these situation (and let’s be honest they are boys not men) get a rough ride. They have unprotected sex (their responsibility as much as the girls I know) then have to try to step up and support both the mum and baby. They don’t have much money behind them, only what they make at their probably quite low level jobs (they haven’t built up experience to be in any sort of senior position). They mostly live at home still with their parents and are trying to juggle everything, it must be hard. But yes, if you have sex you should be mature enough to know the consequences, however in reality barely any of them do. I can see why Charlie was angry after the whole pill saga as I do think he was trying his best and it came across like she threw it back in his face with a second baby.
 
Back to Erin though. Let’s be honest it’s time for her to up her baby game isn’t it. I’m sure income support is stopped when they’re 5 and it’s then job seekers and they expect you to job search. So it’s about time she popped another one out to secure her non working scummy lifestyle for another few years. She wouldn’t wanna have a job and miss out on hanging around chip fat towers whoever possible

I think it’s all universal credit now and they start to get on your back about a job when they’re in nursery. Depending on if they get funded or if the parents are working. My brothers girlfriend is despicable for it, three children and the second two only born so she can avoid a job. I can’t stand the girl. Although I believe payments are capped at 2 children now but they still encourage you to work once the children aren’t home full time anymore. She has always fallen pregnant after the previous child turns 2.
