I’m confused as to why Charlie’s in hospital? Maybe it’s different depending on your area and maybe the fact she’s in her third trimester but I’m 19 weeks pregnant and currently have covid pretty bad tbh I’m exhausted, haven’t kept any food down as I have HM, awful cough ect and when I rang my midwife she said it was nothing to worry about! And why’s she on antibiotics I didn’t think that touched covid? Confused 😂
I mean I don’t like her but she’s pretty much said why she’s in.. she said she’s struggling to breath and was having some pains in her tummy. She’s in the right place..

Do you not have to wear masks in English hospitals anymore? I live in Ireland and we must wear them in any healthcare setting? I ask because Ollie had no sign of one on in the pic.
Where I work they don’t have to wear them if they are in their cubicle. If it’s outpatient appointment we encourage them but we can’t force them professionals so have to wear them all time

It depends how badly Covid is bothering you. As soon as I caught it the hospital asked for me to go in to be checked and monitor the baby. I also was given antibiotics. It’s mad how different hospitals follow diffferent guidelines

I think they’re phasing them out again. The trust up here said you only have to wear them if you’re looking after or visiting high risk covid patients

It’s crazy isn’t it! I have keytones in my urine because I’m not able to keep anything down, I can’t get off the sofa but my midwife isn’t concerned 🤣 I don’t think mine would be concerned if my leg was hanging off

Hey! Just had to jump on, I had covid at 37 weeks and my sister is a midwife. Please ring triage and get them to advise you instead of your community midwife. She may be missing something and I think it’s important you still receive good care regardless of your covid status, ketones and feeling that rough implies your are dehydrated and that isn’t good for a body working hard with being pregnant plus a virus. You may just need some rehydration treatment and a good check over but couldn’t ignore your post! X

I was the same, midwife said no need to be hospitalised and I could barely catch my breath. I asked about Antibiotics as I wasn’t sure and she said they don’t touch it since it’s viral

I personally think the amount of care you receive before viability 24 weeks is shocking. Im 17 weeks after 3 losses and dont see a midwife till 22 weeks !

I rang because I hadn’t felt him move 2 days ago after falling down the stairs (I usually feel him everyday) and they couldn’t care less! I understand there would be nothing they could do but you’d think they’d at least give a tit!

They should be bringing you in for monitoring! I had a few episodes of reduced movements and I went in and got a test done each time.
