Social services do get involved in cases where parents bring their child to A&E multiple times for cases where the visit isn’t justified.. in Charlie’s case, Harlow has been sent home within hours every time so a hospital attendance really isn’t necessary. Social services aren’t just there for abuse/suspected or not..they are there to see if the parents can cope, and by multiple hospital attendances in such a short space of time it would seem that Charlie can’t, in which case ss need to evaluate the situation for harlows sake and well-being

they definitely do this! My daughter set my kitchen on fire and fell down the stairs in the SAME week! and the social were straight on the phone to me thinking I’m not supervising my child. Luckily I had explanations for both and they were just a really unfortunate accident. I’d be massively surprised if the social aren’t already involved with Charlie. If I saw her in A&E every week I’d be putting a marf in asap!
